GLA University - Good College for BCA

The admission process was kinda easy. There was a simple entrance for our courses which was really too easy for any 12th pass out. Everything related to exams can find it out on the official website of GLA University. I don't know much about reservation benefits but I don't think it matters much in private universities. And for improvements, it's all good till now as everyone knows entrance exam doesn't matter much in private universities.

I chose BCA because I was always interested in the IT field. After passing 12th U was sure I want to study further in the IT department and to also focus on my extracurricular skills and prepare for other exams too so that's why I chose BCA. Faculty to student ratio was good actually. The faculty was good in our college except for some of them. Mostly the faculty was highly qualified and dedicated. There were 2 exams in each semester, midterm and end term of 30 and 50 marks respectively and if you focus and pay attention in every class you can easily score good marks in those exams.

In our course, companies began hiring from the 3rd year 5th semester itself. Various companies visited our college like TCS, Infosys, Wipro and various other MNCs and startups. There were a lot of offers from Wipro and students who wanted placements got them. I don't know exactly but yeah around 80-90% of students were placed I guess. I also was selected by a company but opted out as I had to do Post Graduation.

There was around a 2k hike each year in our academic fees and around a 4k hike in hostel fees. Total fees included academics, hostel and mess were 185k per year. And then other expenses like canteen, mall, etc are in your hands so ya that's that. I don't know much about scholarships as I was never eligible for them but ya there is a scholarship and some of my friends got around 36k as a scholarship amount.

There are a lot of fests and events that are held in our college. But our batch was unlucky as we were at our homes for around 1.5 years due to pandemic so weren't able to enjoy much of college life but there are several fests held like sports fest maitree, music fest bob and many other too. The library was good. There are good no. of books and it's good overall. Classrooms were okayish in our course building. Just a normal classroom with a white and blackboard and a projector and yeah it's too. There are several clubs you can be a part of like music club, dance club, poetry club, photography club, etc so yeah social life is good too at our college. There is a sports ground available for almost every sport and regular tournaments are also held in our college. There are several NGOs in our college run by students, I don't much about them but yeah it was there.
