My honest take on my college.

The course curriculum at GLA is industry aligned and and I choose this this programme because I have great interest in computer science subjects. GLA provides us special 150 batches for the top students I was one of them it helps us to be ready for real world applications. Exams are held timely every semester and practicals have proper vivas and demonstrations the failure rate is low but maintaining a high cpi requires very much study and consistency

As I have completed my second year And I came across several internship opportunities. Some of them are like JP Morgan, devsLane, bodhi Ai,soft Pro India computer technologies etc. GLA provides industry based learning so they have collaborated with Capgemini Which provides incampus training.

From the 7th semester the students are eligible for campus placements. At least fifty companies have visited till now and there are 100+ offers have been made to 3rd year. The highest package is 55 lakhs per annum and And the average package is 8 lakhs per annum. In the current semester including the third year and fourth year almost 2000 students are placed. My plan is to take a good job and build a career in it.

The fee structure for the BTech CSE course is divided year wise includes security, alumni fee and examination fee. It is uniform across all categories 1st Year: Rs 180000(Tuition Fees) + Rs 10000(Security) + Rs 1000(Alumni Fee) + Rs 6000(Examination Fee) 2nd year: Rs185000 (Tuition Fees) + Rs 6000(Examination Fee) 3rd Year: Rs 190000(Tuition Fees) + Rs 6000(Examination Fee) 4th Year: Rs 195000(Tuition Fees) + Rs 6000(Examination Fee) Several Scholarship Options are avialable: 1. For Jee Toppers: 95 - 100 percentile 90% tuition fee waive 90 - 94.99 percentile 75% tuition fee waive 85 - 89.99 percentile 25% tuition fee waive 2. PCM percentage in 12th: 95-100 Rs 75000 90-94.99 Rs 50000 85-89.99 Rs 25000 3. Government Scholarships : Students can apply for several state or national scholarships. * If two sisters take admission in same academic year 100 % tuition fee of one sister is waived.

There are many events and cultural activities held in the college but the students are excited about only the annual function and the technical fest. The annual function is named as DJ night which happens one per semester and the technical fest is named as TechNavya. There are different sports such as cricket football karate Kabbadi Handball. Ash students are encouraged to participate in the sports and they are also encouraged to play for the college and they are rewarded for winning.

Thousands of a student from all across the country live in the hostel at GL University. Waden looks after the administration of the hostel. Students get a campus laundry,Internet access, 24 hour hot and cold water, Insect catcher. There are a total 15 boys hostels and four girls hostels as students have provided with newspaper TV and also indoor games like Carrom,Badminton and TT. registration process for the hostel is simple as we have to opt at the time of admission for the hostel.

I was preparing for JEE mains and advanced examination as I did not qualify in those examinations GLA was my first choice for the btech. I had not applied for any other college so I cant compare. The admission process for my college is very simple we have to give online examination known as GLAET we are selected on the basis of this test.

There is 1 faculty per 25 to 30 students. Faculties are very much approachable as they stay inside the campus residency and also in hostels with students. There are several faculties whom i liked. They teach computer network, programming language, operating system. I liked them because they dont only stick to syllabus but teach practical applications of the lessons. There are some teachers who only come to class to do their job, they dont care about students are learning or not. There are two exams per semester - mid term(20) and end term(50) and rest 30 marks is quizzes, assignments and TA. Curriculum is mostly relevant to the course. Exams are of medium level.

The nightlife is quite fascinating in the hostel as students do not sleep early There is gym for every hostel block in the hostel itself and there is a common room where TV is being set up for the entertainment. Many students go to library in the night to study the library timings is up to 2:00 PM in the night. It is safe because there are many guards they have night duty they are for our safety in the night. The most people go to GD subway to eat something at the night. Only boys are allowed in the night.
