Remarks

Pict is one of the most known colleges for its placements. The admission process is based on the Cet entrance exam. The cutoff of the college is high as it is one of the best college in Pune. The admission process is straightforward that is held by the state government.

Course Curriculum Overview

Pict has all IT branches such as IT, CE and ENTC. I am a student of the CE branch which is the best course in this college. All the faculty is well qualified and they are the best in their teaching. Term exams are moderate to difficult.

Class Size: 75Course Fees: INR 92000 per year

Internships Opportunities

The companies such as amazon, siemens, Rakuten, phonepe etc. offer internship opportunities to students with stipends ranging between 10 k to 100k per month. Many projects are held for the benefit of students by the college.

Placement Experience

Pict is known for its placements. Students become eligible for campus placements in 7th semester. Many big companies such as Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank, etc visited pict. The placement percentage is above 90.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is different for different castes. For students belonging to the open caste, the fee is about 92k. As I belong to nt category my fee was 14k as I got a post-matric scholarship for vjnt students.

Campus Life

There are many clubs in pict for students by students. The technical clubs include pisb and pcsb. There are many art clubs. There is a spiritual club known as wisdom eye which is one of the best. The reading hall is big and the library with well-equipped books.

DY Patil college is best for placement and coding environment

Placement Experience:

The placement is good in Y Patil College. Many companies are come for hiring a student. Most of students are placed in fourth year from fourth year. The companies are started to come in campus and higher students. Also, in a third year, Student want to get internship in any companies from campus and from outside of the campus internship is compulsory in third year last semester The company are come in my college are Amazon Google infosys Microsoft WIpro and other companies hire students The highest package of last year of AI and DS department is a 42 lakh higher by Amazon is the highest package of the last year placement. Also, the average packages are six lakh. The percentage of getting Student place in companies are nearly 92%

Placement Experience:

We have a great Training and placement cell , they first help for inturnship in 3rd and 4th year and also invites top componies for placements in our collage. 6th or 7th sem students are eligible for placements. 80% studnets among the eligible get placed. I will try to get a dencnt job too.

From the 7th semester onwards students are eligible for campus placement drive. Companies that often visit campus for placement include ONGC, GAIL, IGL, IOCL, NRL, SAIL, Hindalco, Carin oil and gas, Reliance, Vedanta, Tata Power, Nyara, Tata projects and many more oil and gas industries, metal industries. The highest package: is 24 lpa ( given by ONGC) and the average package: is 13 lpa for Fire and safety profiles. Usually, all students get placed in the placement drive. I will do the job in the company I got placed in.

An Honest review of PICT

I applied and got admitted into Vishwakarma Institute of Technology - B.Tech in Computer Science. I chose PICT over VIT because of many factors : placements and internship opportunities, coding culture, campus life and overall studies. PICT is better in almost every aspect than VIT except some college life and syllabus strictness. Yes, I applied to COEP and VJTI but didn't get expected branch due to less marks in my JEE Mains. I also got rejected by IIST, IITs, RGIPT, BITS because I got less than 75% in my boards which didn't satisfy the eligibility criteria. I got into PICT by JEE Mains. The last cutoff for JEE Mains is 97.5 %ile to get ENTC in PICT. You require 99%ile+ in MHT-CET to get into PICT....Read More
