Abhinav Tiwari's Review On Vishwakarma Institute Of Information Technology - [VIIT], Pune

I took MHTCET examination back in 2011. I scored 100+ score in that exam and this college was my 8 preference. I went with this college because of the Brand "Vishwakarma". And being a final year student I know I made a right choice.

This college comes under the Pune University. Hence the curriculum followed by the collage is a theory-oriented one. But the college is couple of years away from attaining the autonomous status, so I hope its approach will changed then.

Sorry guys but there is hardly any internship program in this. For this the Pune University should be blamed. Although you can do internship on your own, without any collage support.

That is really good. 100% eligible students get placed every year. If you are doing engineering with the sole purpose of getting a job then you should probably opt for Computer Science or IT branch. Package offered is generally around 3 lpa.

Our college event is Perception. We also organize many cultural events. Our Perception event is really big. Many big stars also visit our college during this event.

Its expensive compared to other colleges in Pune. Its generally 1 lakh per annum. While it increases by 10k every year. My final year fee was 112000+.

There are many scholarship programs available. If you fall under EBC category then you can get some serious concession in the fee.

As I said campus is boring. There is not much you can do in the college. A small ground which is generally full. Although you can play indoor games like carrom, table tennis etc.

Senior students are really helpful. You can buy books from them, ask for notes. While there is no alumni network, just personal network. Seniors are really helpful while completing the project.

Exam structure is really packed. You will hardly get any time to chill. There are 4 major exams per year. Also you have to deal with backlogs at times. By the way labs are awesome.
