Remarks
I applied for VES, Mithibai, Jai hind and somaiya. I went for KJS because of the name and reputation it holds and also because it was a Gujarati minority. The university is really beautiful and the ambience is very calming. The college is surrounded by trees and nature. The college also has a library which has a specific floor for girls (which also hold switchboards for laptop/charging use). There are several canteens in the university with a huge variety of food options, along with breakfast and lunch. Many fests and functions also take place throughout the years. It is a great college to opt for
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose Arts as I am keenly interested in psychology. The faculty of the history department is very helpful and knowledgeable as well. I came to the college for psychology but ended up loving history as much as I love psychology. One of my teachers got their PhD during our batch and it was very inspiring for us to see them working for their dreams that way. The faculty of psychology is very fine as well. The assignment and curriculum are designed in a well-developed aspect so that the students can get knowledge as much as possible. The semesters were very greatly managed in a manner that the students can enjoy their holiday season properly.
Fees and Financial Aid
We were asked for a fee of rupees around 8000/year. For sc/st it is around 4k/year. There are several scholarships as well. The faculty members as well the office staff are available for assistance if someone needs any help in looking for financial assistance in different quotas.
Campus Life
The campus fests are really enjoyable. There is hooner where they include dance, singing, open mic, art, comedy, drama, and much more. Being a part of hooner is a different experience. There are a lot of sports available on the campus too. The major activity of my life - is NCC. I was in NCC for 3 years and it has somewhere or the other changed me in such a way that I know how to hold mu responsibility and how to be a good citizen. There is a lot more stuff on the campus.
