UVCE fascination

One has to write KCET(Karnataka Common Entrance Test) in order to get admission into UVCE.There is no other means to get here.It is one of the earliest college in India and first engineering college in Karnataka. One has to get less than 1k ranking in the exam for general merit students to get admission. The admission process is very simple.The fees is very mininal and it is a government college. After the option entry process you will allotted a college. If you are satisfied with it you can pay the prescribed fee to KEA and submit the paid receipt to college and fill the application form and submit the required documents.The help to fill the application form should be provided.

In UVCE there is a total of 6 departments .Of all the departments Mechanical and Civil are very old and prestigious. The faculty here are highly educated and have a detailed understanding of the subject. They are very friendly and very easy to approach. In the Mechanical department the student to teacher ratio is 5:1.I always had the passion to learn about the working of machines, understand the process and if possible develop my own machine one day. All the faculty in Mechanical department have done their Ph.D and majority of the professors have experience of minimum 10 years. They have guided other students to get their PhD.The exams are held according to the schedule. The exam is not that difficult it tests our understanding of the subject

Many companies have offered internships to many students of our college. Some of the reputed companies are SAP ACT, Cognizant, Finflux etc. The interns att some of the companies have also received the full time employment offer.The companies have also promised to convert the interns into full time employees. The interns are working in various domains mainly in design field and in software development field.Many interns are currently working in software development, as data engineers and as solution engineers. The average stipend is around 10,000 per month.

The placement in our college is very good. Around 90% of the students get placed in prestigious companies. Since we have a wide alumni network many companies visit our college throughout the academic year. Last year 2 students hot offers from Australian based companay for 49 LPA which is the highest package.

The fee structure is very minimal compared to other engineering colleges. UVCE is a govt college .The KEA fee costs around 19000 and the total fee per year will cost around 30,000 including the university fee.There is no fee hike. The only hike one can expect is the hike in KEA fee which revises it's fee 2 year once. The student can avail many scholarships depending on the student's category and their parents annual income.We can also get the scholarship sponsored by the UVCE alumini association

Life is very calm and chill.We have a good canteen and rock garden. There is lot of trees around in the campus therefore it is a very good environment. There will be 2 fests held in each semester apart from that there will be cultural activities throughout the year. There will be 1 technical and 1 cultural fest in each semester.The library is very vast and we can get very old journals also. We have the access to some of the rare foreign author books which is rarely found outside.The cricket ground is very big. We have a reputed cricket team. We can choose any sport we want and play.There are many social groups in our college. All are run by the students. Therefore one can easily join any club and take part in those activities.
