Remarks

The admission process is not quite complicated. You need to have a good MHT CET score. You have to register for the CAP process. And after filling out the option form, wait for the result, and then you got the college. You also get reservation benefits if you have proper documentation.

The syllabus of courses is According to AICTE norms. It is changing year to year as it is an autonomous institution. Also, the curriculum is made an understudy all the industry technologies. The faculty of VIIT , Pune is well qualified and experienced.

Fees of the college are around Rs. 150000. And the fees hike is around 5% annually. You also have reservations based on benefits in the fees structure. If you are eligible and you have proper documentation you can get the benefits. The scholarship is also available to students.

Campus Life

College campus life is quite average. The college has various fests and events like Gandharva, Vishwapreneur, CEC cell events, etc. The annual fest of college is Gandharva. It is a techno-cultural event of nearly 5 days held in the month of January. Also, different clubs like NSS, Robocon, Supra, Avishkar, etc are there for students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The part of the curriculum that inspired me to take up this course is definitely applied mathematics as engineering has a lot of math integrated in it and helps the student to improve his/her logic and problem solving skills which are very important in today's job market. Some areas where I'd like the syllabus to improve are NEP related subjects like PPS, Indian Knowledge System etc. These courses are not related to the major but are included because of the New Education Policy(NEP). I feel that most of these courses are a complete waste of time and can be replaced by better courses.

VIIT -a good option?

1) I applied to VIT pune ,COEP pune ,PICT pune,CUMMINS ,PCCOE . I didnt get these colleges because i didnt have percentile for merit for that college i had 95.84 percentile and their cutoff for CS branch was 97 at that time which was difficult for me . 2)students can enroll in our college using MHTCET and JEE mains score .Through cet cell there are cap rounds total three and last one spot round (may have changed now).Apart from this there are no tests or exams to get an admission in this college...Read More
