The admission process is done through jceceb counselling. Jharkhand combined counselling is done through the Score In JEE Mains. A state merit list is formed using the jee mains score. Eligibility of the course is Class 12 with PCM, with no minimum boards percentage required. And the person should be a resident of the state of Jharkhand. Seats for students from other states are not available. The application form is available on the website JCECEB.Jharkhand.gov.in The application form is available one month after the jee mains result. The application fee is 400.

I selected Mining engineering as there are very few colleges providing this branch of engineering and the location of the college is near the mines so the on-site experience is better. It has signed MoU with IIT-ISM Dhanbad for the mining engineering branch and the curriculum here is at par with IIT-ISM. There are a good number of faculties one professor and two or three assistant professors and the batch strength is small to just 55 students in the branch. The qualification of the facilities is quite good and is improving with the new recruits many professors are students of esteemed IITs, and many of them have experience of teaching in IITs. The teaching method is good and assignments are given on time. Exams are taken in time the schedule of exams is released in the start of the academic session and are completed in time. In each semester there are two mid semester exams and one end semester. Exams are of difficult to moderate level and is easy to score good by thorough study and revision of notes

There is a separate training and placement cell in Bit which tells about the various internship offers. In mining branch companies like Vedanta, Aditya Birla etc provide internship offers. I am currently in 2nd year and have not got an internship offer till now. Many students go for summer internships for companies like tata,Vedantu, acc ,jsw,Jindal,LnT construction etc

Students are eligible for campus placement from the start of the 4th year, i.e. 7th semester. TCS, Hindustan Unilever Limited, Deloitte, Tata Steel, Multicoreware, Vedanta, Schlumberger, and Wipro are the major recruiters with 10-20 students as per branch concerned. The highest package is 28LPA for the job of technical support Engineer at Google from the Branch ECE. The average package is 5-7 LPA with a placement percentage of 80-85+%. My plan after getting the degree is to qualify gate and secure a job at PSU in the meantime I will also sit in campus placement for the job in companies like Vedanta Ltd.

The annual fees are Rs7732 for general/EWS/obc and Rs1957 for St/SC and Rs32 for girls. Student fund fees are Rs 7150 for all categories. Examination fees are Rs 1650 per semester. For the hostel, annual fees are Rs 5000 and electricity fees is Rs 2000. Mess charge per month is Rs 3900. Various scholarships are provided and some of them are e-kalyan. Campus placement is good it is about 91%. And many companies come to offer placement. The highest package was 28 LPA for the Ece branch. And the average package is 5-7 LPA. The fees hike is very nominal and is done in two or three years. The cost to study is much more nominal than other colleges as it is a state-owned government college.

There are various fests in bit ranging from 13-17 per year. The cultural fest occurs in the month of November. Foyc fresher of the year is conducted in the month of July-august normally. Tech udbhav is the name of the tech fest. There is a central library a huge separate building with thousands of books in various aspects. Various branches organise their individual sports functions. And also there is an annual sports function. The sports equipment is good and the quality and quantity are improving day by day. Sandhaan and Triveni are the annual fests conducted by the "Model club" and the "ISTE students' chapter of bit Sindri". These fests are an integral part of bit which shows its culture and development.

The facilities in the hostel are good. They provide a bed and a study table with a chair. A wardrobe for clothes and other important things the rooms are of good size and the number of students per room varies according to the choice varying from 1 to 4 students per room. The meal quality is excellent it provides meal 4 times a day. For non-vegetarians, non-veg is provided 4 times a week. The menu is Roti Paratha with chicken/paneer/vegetables etc twice a day Rice in the afternoon along with Dal and Salad, some snacks are provided in the evening. There is a canteen too apart from the mess for refreshments and fast food. Hostel registration is Available on the website a hostel fee of Rs5000 is to be deposited to avail hostel rooms.
