Reviewing my honest opinion about my College

At the same time, I feel there is room for improvement. If the curriculum included more exposure to modern software tools like AutoCAD, STAAD.Pro, Revit, and Primavera, it would make us more industry-ready. More site visits, practical workshops, and real project case studies would also help us understand how things work outside the classroom. I chose GCET because of its good faculty, modern infrastrcture and active campus life comapred to other colleges i considered. The placement support and industry exposure here seemed better suited for my career goals. The admission process was straightforward, involving merit based elogibilty and timely documentation. I had applied in - GL Bajaj (greater noida) Abes engeneering college(ghaziabad) HMR institute (Delhi) I chose this college based on a comparative analysis of all the parameters (Affordability, Location , Placements, Alumini reviews , campus life etc). This college was relatively affaordable as compared to other colleges which I had applied for. The campus life and vibe of this college is better with more clubs and co-curricular activities. Its loaction is very near to the metro/bus services and has a campus area of about 19 acres. The placements of this college was better than most of the otheer colleges I had applied for. I did not get rejection from any college I had applied in , I just chose this college on the basis of my comparative analysis. ADMISSION PROCESS- 1) Management quota: The admission is based on class XII merit and first come first serve basis. You first have to apply on college website then you recieve a provisional admission letter . After recieving the letter you have to pay rs.25000/- within one week. Then, in july if you get into the provisional merit list , you have to come to the college with all your documents for physical verification and fee payment. 2) UPTAC councelling: The 1st 3 rounds of councelling are only for JEE mains and UP domicile students. The subsequent rounds are for XII MERIT/ CUET/ JEE MAINS. The cutoff for btech cse for general category in jee mains is about 80-85%ile. Most of the students (85%) are from councelling and rest 15% from management quota. I also applied to its affiliated college galgotias university because I heard about horrors of aktu. But didn't opt for it because the crowd on gu is actually considered really bad. GCET gives admission through UPTAC counselling through aktu. You have to appear for JEE and secure a rank of at least 2 Lakhs if you're from UP and want top CS branches....Read More
