Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HPTU) Review

Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HPTU) was a very good option for me as I was not able to qualify for IITs and NITs I wanted to complete my B.Tech program in automobile engineering most of the seats were filled in IITs and NITs so I decided to go to Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HPTU) as the college is in my hometown and the college education is very good. The admission form is filled out through the college website and after getting selected I received the mail from the college to attend the college counselling after the counselling process was completed I was allotted the seat in the college.

The curriculum of the college is well programmed and very nicely structured. The curriculum helps us to understand and provides us with full knowledge of machine equipment and its aerodynamics. The curriculum helps us to develop our machine designing skills. The faculty of my college was superb. The faculty has really very good teaching experiences. Most of my college faculty has PhD degrees with very good research experiences from the best universities in India.

The college has a very good internship program plus we can also opt for an off-campus internship program if we receive more good opportunities. The college internship program is properly managed and we have to complete internship but we also should have minimum 80% of class attendance to take part in the college internship program.

Our college offer very good placement packages and the college has a record of 80% placement many MNC and market leaders visit our campus for the college placement drive Honda, Procter & Gamble, Yes Bank, Citi Bank, ITC, Cipla, Indigo, etc are some of the companies that took part in the college placement drive. The college's highest salary offer was around 11 LPA and the average salary package was around 6 LPA.

The college fee is quite affordable in comparison to the competition but still, our college offers scholarships through Post Matric Scholarship Scheme to SC/ ST, Post Matric Scholarship Scheme to OBC, Dr. Ambedkar Post-Matric Scholarship for Economically Backward Classes, Mukhya Mantri Gyandeep Yojna are some of the schemes through which our college offers various scholarships.

Our college life of full of fun and we have spent really very good time in the college cafeteria with our friends. The college cafeteria is very good and the food is also quite tasty. The college also has different labs for different departments like the Chemistry Lab, Computer Lab, Electrical Lab, Language Lab, Physics Lab, Pharmacy Lab, Communication Lab, Biology Lab, Concrete Lab, Survey Lab, Structure Analysis Lab, Environmental Engineering Lab, Geotechnical Engineering Lab, Highway Engineering Lab, Data Structure Lab and all those labs have latest equipment. The college library has a very good collection of many different topics books and many international research journals and magazines are available in our college library.

Yes, our college offers very good hostel accommodation but the hostel is for those who are from a far distance and from another state of India as the college was situated in my hometown so I did not avail the hostel facility.
