Remarks

You need to be Class 12 passed out to apply for admission in this college and the criteria to get selected in taking admission is through the merit of marks. At first, you need to fill out the application form from any cyber, it costs 250 only, as per that a list based on your merit will be released and you can take admission directly in the college without counselling after that just by paying the admission fee. The college will release merit lists one by one and you can choose to take admission only when your name appears on the list. Reservations are availed to all reserved sections but they should belong to or have studied in West Bengal for the last 10 years. I think the admission process is very easy but I would appreciate it if they give out the names in the merit list all at once so that one could have an idea whether he/she can get admission in the college or should try in some other college.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I chose this course because I was always interested to be an Hindi professorand this is the first step in the process hopefully. The faculties at the college are excellent. We have Swati ma'am as our current professor and some other professors also take classes but I prefer her more than anyone. Although all faculties are excellent with great teaching skills, they are highly educated and their phone is always available for any student for any help. Exams in the college are held semester wise and are of moderate level and semester exams are not so difficult Anyone can score great marks and achieve a good cgpa. Passing percentage for this course is 33. all students of this course got great marks in the previous semester.

Fees and Financial Aid

At first, (for admission) you will have to pay 4800 for 1st year, to take admission in 2nd and last year you will have to pay 4000 respectively and there is exam fee in every semester (275). I think the fee is not an issue in the college and anyone can study in these types of low fee colleges. There are many scholarships given and you can apply and get them quite easily. Name of some of the scholarships are SVMCM, NSP, AIKYASHREE etc,

Campus Life

4.5

The campus cafeteria is excellent, and the place is completely hygienic. The cafeteria is much more secure to spend good atmospheric time with friends. The environment on the campus is neat and clean and surrounded with trees. The college canteen is good, and quality food is also good but little bit costly. Wi-Fi facility is also available in our college, but we can use only 35 megabite, which disappoints us. All types of books are available in the library, Labs are also very good, and medical facilities are very good. In January, cricket tournaments are conducted in our college. We had a wonderful experience with college life.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There are several prospects, especially peer-to-peer counseling, where you get a mentor. We call it mentor mentee program. So, there will be groups of students, and each group will have a mentor who helps you whenever you face any issues whether in real life or in your academic journey. They’re always there for you. There are also remedial classes, and extracurricular activities are included in the curriculum. You even get the freedom to choose what you want to pursue creatively, like joining poetry clubs and similar groups. Right now, I’m at Banaras University, and the curriculum here is really good. We have sessions on public speaking, how to conduct interviews, and many other practical skills. These are highly commendable because they help you in professional situations like the one I’m in now. However, I would say that teachers could be a bit more active with electronic tools like using PPT presentations or audio-visual methods instead long lecture sessions. As for exams, I wouldn’t say they’re too difficult because there are many weekly assessments and sessionals, which actually help you evaluate yourself better.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have always wanted to persue English as a career. I love studying English but not a big fan of the new curriculum by NEP that includes a lot pf irrelevant papers. The semesters are not consistent. Odd semesters usually have a lot of time like 6-8 months but even semesters barely consist of 2-3 months.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I used to read so many novels from my childhood and that inspired me in getting attracted to this field. We used to have the fecility of having seminar in the end of every month after compleating of each lessons. And this process helped us in true education. After every year professors from differnt parts of the country used to come for a seminer for overall groth of the students. Actually is theory teaching style is followed in the college, according to me some developments in the practical teaching can be used. Semister is held at the end of every six months and the exams are used to be moderate in nature.
