Course Curriculum Overview
As a b.com graduate and a person who found aspiration in marketing and finance, PGDM sounded to be a really good course for the same. The course I chose included finance and marketing dual specialization. Both these specializations were nurtured by excellent professors who had many years of experience and knowledge. Extremely supportive faculty who are available to help you in complete development and not just for the subjects. The exam pattern is very descriptive and case-based which gives us an insight into real-life situations and helps in problem-solving ability. The difficulty level to pass would be between easy to medium.
Internships Opportunities
Various companies like Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley have offered internships and PPOs to the students. The stipend offered is pretty decent ranging between 15-20k on an average per month. Projects internships are also available where the really best papers are published.
Placement Experience
From semester 4, all students are eligible for applying in campus placements provided they are eligible according to the company requirements. The highest placements are mainly in the marketing and finance courses. The highest package offered was 21 lakhs and everything had an average of 7.5 lakhs. There has been a placement percentage of almost 100% every year.
Fees and Financial Aid
The course is offered by charging a fee of Rs. 400000 per annum plus additional charges. There is an opportunity for the scholarship after the 1st and 4th-semester exams. The scholarships given are divided into three categories. General merit is given to top 10 ranks of students, merit for Christians who score among the 25% of the batch, and finally fee concession whose family income is under 4 lakhs.
Campus Life
Life at the campus is the best. Unfortunately being a part of the corona batch did not help in that part much and led to just a few months of actual offline classes. The library is completely filled with a variety of books and journals and is very useful for information on the course and outside. Classrooms are spacious with projectors and other modern amenities helping in easier studies. Business fests and cultural fests keep recurring during the course. JPL is big sports event that happens every year as well.
Interview Experience
Language and communication are among the key factors looked upon during admission. The process consists of essay writing and a personal interview with the faculty members. Knowledge of all the main and basic UG topics serves as a guide for the personal interview and also a good insight on the present happenings around the world can go a long way.
