My college experience

I can only think of good when I think about SJIM Bangalore. It is equipped with the best facilities and faculties.

The course is very relevant to the current era of the ever-changing business environment. SJIM Bangalore follows the trimester system. With each term having a midterm, quiz, and assignments or presentations. We also have a special subject called business management Environment (BME) where we have group presentations which is a 1 credit course. I feel BME is helping us build our confidence and professionalism.

For the year 2018-19, 98% of the students were placed in reputed organizations with an average salary of 6lakhs. For the year 2019-2020, students are getting placed and placements are happening in full spring. For internship, Morgan Stanley has selected 5 to 6 candidates and offered them a stipend of Rs.50000 per month.

We have a number of extracurricular activities right from freshers day, Intra-collegiate fest Pinnacle, Onam celebration, foreign student exchange program, JPL a sports event which includes auctioning of players, Jersey launch, marketing the team and of course the sport itself which runs for about 4 months in the 2nd term. Verve and Inter-collegiate fest. Visit orphanage and old age homes during the Christmas season.

The fee structure is not divided into many components. We have a total fee for Rs.780000 for 2 years. The first installment of Rs.200000 is paid immediately after our admissions and Rs.190000 is paid in the month of August. In addition to this, we pay Rs.10000 for Toastmasters international which is a part of our curriculum.

The students at SJIM Bangalore get a scholarship for securing the highest scores in the first term. For education loans, at the time of admission the college will provide the necessary documents required from their side.

In college we have to maintain a respectable distance with the male and female students. Our seniors are of great support to us right from our first day at college. They guide us in the right direction and are friendly to us. We have a buddy system followed where a group of 5 to 6 students has a senior as our buddy who helped us a lot during our initial days at college.

The procedure for SJIM admission starts with filling the online application form after which I had to post a copy of the admission form along with a photocopy of several documents. On the 17th of February I came for a panel interview before that I had essay writing. They announced the results of a panel interview 4 days after which On 23rd of February I came for director interview and the procedure was concluded hence.

The faculty at SJIM Bangalore are well qualified, experienced individuals. They have a vast knowledge of their specialized area and current events in the economy and business world. Everyday discussions on current issues of the economy help us learn more and in a better manner.
