Remarks

MIT Manipal is a complete package. Academically or individually one has the oppurtunity to grow and learn a lot. The place teaches you one thing, its not always about the marks you score it is about the individual you become after your Graduation.

Entrance Preview

MIT Manipal conducts its own online entrance test. My score was 108 and i secured a rank of 6436. I first got Industrial Production as my branch which was upgraded to Civil in a time of 2 weeks.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is satisfactory. The first year syllabus is same for all the branches including basics of subjects from each branch. All the labs have sufficient equipments required. There is lots of theory for core branches like Civil and Mechanical. A lilttle more practical knowledge can be of more use.

Internships Opportunities

There are no paid internship for students of our own college. You can complete your internship under any experienced professor but there is no stipend.

Placement Experience

3.5

Branches like CSE, IT, ENC really excel in placements.Over 100 IT companies with software profiles. There is growing demand for buisness analyst and finance related posts. Core placement is not satisfactory. Majority of students from Civil, Mech and Electrical background opt for software profile or try off campus placements.

College Events

5

There are a couple of main events in the year. Tech-Tatva is a technical fest consisting of different events (technical and non-technical) organised by several clubs and groups.Generally takes place in september-October. Revels is the biggest cultural fest which takes place in March. Different inter and intra college events including sports, dance, singing etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is on the expensive side. For 2011-2015 batch the course fee was 1.72 lakhs- 2 lakhs per annum plus the hostel and mess fee. The fee is ever rising and is close to 12 lakhs for 4 years excluding your hostel, mess and other utilities. Hostel fee are too expensive for the facilites provided.

Fees and Financial Aid

AICTE Scholarship is given to students whose parents' annual income is less than 2.5 lakhs. Once applied for it at the time of admission scholarship is given on the basis of your entrance rank. Genrally with a rank of 4k-5k the scholarship is closed. Half the fee is deducted if you avail the scholarship.

Campus Life

4

Gender ratio is surprisingly high for an engineering college. Campus life is one the best one can dream of wonderful sports facilties, world class gym and sports complex-MARENA. Lots of extra curricular activities. Almost a club for every extra curricular activity inculding Debate, Literary, Public speaking, Drama, Dance, Arts, Singing, Social work, robotics,Formula Manipal etc.

Hostel Facilities

4

There are a variety of hostels with single and double sharing, Ac and Non Ac rooms, attached and common bathrooms. The new hostels are quite well furnished and provided with basic amenities of a hostel room. Food is good compared to other colleges. But on the expensive side. One should prefer to live outside the campus after first year to get better facilities at a cheaper rate.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is not very good. Although the college is trying its level best to improve their alumni relations but not quite helpful at the moment.

Exam Structure

The internal exams are usually hectic with 6 papers in 3 days. Lab exams and End semester exams are quite relaxed. One gets enough time to prepare well. The conduction of exams is done quite seriously and efficiently. There are make up exams if one fails to clear the exam in the first attempt.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty is a mix bag of experience and young teachers. If there are 6 subjects in a semester you are bound to get 2 very experienced teachers,a couple of decent teachers and a couple quite young most probably M.Tech graduates from Manipal University.

They fake a lot of their placements....now the bangalore campus currently has 40%placements but they fake the placement rates to make it look like its 80 or 90% which is sad...i heard that if u have really bad marks and couldnt get placed(a lot of ece and eee people, cause they will purposefully try to fail u so that u can apply for the couse again) they will make u sign a document were u agree u never sat for placements.

Placement Experience:

Students at RVCE become eligible for campus placements typically from the seventh semester onwards. Several reputed companies visit the campus for recruitment, offering a wide range of job opportunities to students. Some of the prominent companies include Infosys, Wipro, TCS, IBM, and Accenture, among others. These companies make a significant number of job offers across various profiles, including software development, consulting, and research. The highest package offered varies from year to year and can range from ?10-20 lakhs per annum, depending on the company and the profile offered. The average package generally falls between ?4-8 lakhs per annum. The percentage of students getting placements varies, but RVCE has a consistently high placement record, with a significant majority of students securing job offers during campus placements. As for my plans after completing the degree, I aim to explore job opportunities in the field of industrial management, leveraging the skills an
