Remarks

Entrance is solely based on merit and no reservation and it is the best part about BITS. Admission is based on the BITSAT exam score followed by counselling for the three campuses of BITS in India i.e. Pilani, Goa, Hyderabad.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is decently high level as compared to NITs it can be more compared to the IITs. Student to faculty ratio is around 18. Exams papers are slightly on the tougher side, as questions are set by the professors themselves.

Internships Opportunities

The internship is provided by the college itself. Many students get pre placement offers in practice school 2. Companies like JP Morgan, Google, Microsoft and etc. take interns on regular basis. PS is one of the best parts of the course.

Placement Experience

BITS is the only college with a 100 percent placement record. More than 400 companies visit to recruit students. The average package was around 17 lakh. The highest package was 41 lakh. 60-70 percent companies allow all the streams to sit in placement.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are on the higher edge in BITS and it's also the biggest disadvantage of getting admitted into BITS. Top 1 percentage academic performer get 100 percentage off on tuition fees and 40 percent off for the next 2 percent performers. MCN scholarship exists for the economically weaker sections.

Campus Life

College life is unlike any other college in BITS. You won't be able to sit in the room silently as there is always something going on on the campus from seminars to fests. BITS has all the clubs ranging from dancing, music to entrepreneurship clubs.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are descent. Gandhi and Krishna Bhavans are the best ones. AC or cooler is not present in any of the hostels. Mess food is comparatively very much better. Three meals are served i.e. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Placement Experience:

In our college the students are elgible to sit in campus placement from third year , there comes a lot of companies in our college which comes here for placement drive and some for providing internship .Some of the companies that comes in our college are L&T, Deloitte , Capegemini, Reliance , TCS , TCE, Wipro, Infosys, miniorange, Berger paints ,Amazon etc . The highest package from this college is of 44 LPA which was from CSE branch and given by Amazon and the average package ranges around 6.5 LPA for almost every branch . Every year almost 80 percent of students get placed around here and some of them leaves placement for further studies and also some took admission in many premier institutes for getting higher education.

From fourth year the students become eligible for campus placements And before that you have to go for outside placements by students himself only companies visited like Microsoft Zomato and all no Google and number of companies are not very good only mass recruiters are there like three L package tcs and old highest package is around 53 lakhs by Microsoft last year in 2023 and 4 academic year percentage of getting placements is like around you can say out of 100 4040 will get placement Every package is around 5 according to the chorus but I know it is around 3 lpa In reality I am pre paying for gate exam right now let us see what happened

I selected this college over other colleges due to its legacy, exposure and opportunities. The freedom to traverse through multiple domains and it's flexible academics. I had applied to almost all biotech, bio engineering related colleges to get into health sector domain. I did not get rejection from any of the colleges. The exposure given for finance and Entreprenurship in BITS Pilani is well over what an average engineering college might provide you . They offer a minor option using which one can sit in finance placements with companies like UBS Deutsche Bank , Jane Street and many more .The admission process for BITS includes the BITSAT exam which is an MCQ based exam . I chose BITS Pilani over other colleges due to its academic flexibilitym vibrant culture, zero reservation and merit based admission process. I had confirmed admissions from other colleges such as DTU but I opted for BITS primarily because of it Practice School program and the autonomy it offers in shaping your academic journey.
