Remarks

Eligibility to get admission for B.Com was around a minimum of 60 percent. The admission process is quite smooth and easy. The admission process is done online which I find very convenient. The application fee is 100 rs and the application dates are provided on the college website. As the admission process is done online there are quite a few bugs in the college portal which should be fixed.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Currently, I am pursuing B.Com from college. To be very honest I like the faculty the teachers are quite experienced which is quite important when it comes to teaching. They are quite supportive as well. One can easily approach a teacher when he requires help and they are very happy to help students. The way of their teaching is quite simple and they relate things to real-life which makes it easier for a student to understand. Exams are conducted at regular intervals. exams like a class test, internal exams, semesters as well as surprise tests happens most often. And when it comes to difficulty the average student can crack the exams easily

Internships Opportunities

2.5

The college keeps on sending the internship offers from various to the respective college groups. If any student is interested they can apply for the internship. There are numerous projects given by the college to the students during the course and the student has to complete them to gain knowledge as well as marks.

Placement Experience

2.5

After 5th-semester students become eligible for college placements. Companies like Godrej,Infosys,Lti,icici,Tcs visits college .This and Infosys made around 60 offers and other companies made a maximum of 10 offers which is decent. Around 15 to 20 percent of students get placed. I would definitely like to attend the placements and get an offer

Fees and Financial Aid

As far as I know, the fees of our college are minimal one can easily afford to take admission in our college. I think there is no fees hike in the last 4 or 5 years which is a good thing. There are numerous scholarships which are provided by the college for the students.

Campus Life

3

The fest happens once annually but it's not on a large scale due to lack of space on the college campus.Fest names are ritviz, udaan etc. The college has a huge library which I guess had more the 10,000 books which is the high light of our college. There are no modern amenities in the classroom it has speakers and projectors in some classrooms. Our college is very good at sports it has produced more the 40 cricket players representing in Mumbai Ranji team. Sports like volleyball, kabaddi, boxing have won many tournaments for our college. But the sad part is the college campus is quite small.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In today's world, commerce is relevant everywhere. The course provides us with valuable insights and practical knowledge which helps us in the real world. Subjects like cost and works accounting and business economics is very much practical and used in our day to day life. If studied well then exams are a piece of cake.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the BBI course curriculum at Lala Lajpat Rai College as fairly relevant and moderately comprehensive. The focus on finance, banking, and insurance subjects influenced my decision to choose this course. The curriculum gives a good theoretical base and helps in preparing for further studies like MBA, M.Com, or government exams. However, it lacks practical exposure, internships, and industry interaction, which could make it more job-oriented. Teaching methods can also improve by including case studies, field visits, and guest lectures.Exams are held twice a year (semester-wise) and include internals (25 marks) and externals (75 marks). They are moderately difficult manageable with regular studies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The main thing this college or any other college for that matter should do is host people from different walks of life and ask them to brief the students about whatever great things they know. You should also prepare your students for different life skills. A webinar on how to budget properly, how to invest, how to survive in a jungle etc. The practicals that were given to us held very less value in my opinon. It seemed as if we are just doing the practicals for the sake of it.
