IIT Dharwad Review

Under the mentorship of IIT Bombay, IIT Dharwad has grown quite popular for its educational quality and faculty standards. The college is low crowded and high on faculty staff. The faculty of availability during the JOSAA counselling caught my attention the faculty present there were highly qualified and experienced that caught my attention. Til the end of my counselling, I was part of IIT Dharwad by freezing my seat. The admission process of the college was very simple and hassle-free.

The college curriculum was quite different as the curriculum was full of lots of assignments and project activities. The curriculum mainly focuses on practical knowledge rather than theoretical knowledge. The curriculum helps us to understand every concept of physics in a very detailed manner and deeply. The faculty for physics were really experts in their domain they were masters in explaining the difficult concept in a very simple way. The faculty was not only of PhD standards but also very experienced in terms of the corporate world. The faculty really focused on our overall personality development.

The college provides a very good internship opportunity with the help of the college placement committee as our all details are available with the placement committee. The internship is a very good experience for us to gain some professional experience which is very helpful for us during the time of the college placement program. The average stipend for an internship was 65k.

The college has achieved really very good numbers in terms of placement within a short period of time. The college was able to reach the 100% placement mark. The highest package was around 28 LPA and the average package was around 13 LPA. Which very good achievement for a new college. The college placement committee was able to invite around 110+ companies to take part in the college placement drive.

The college provides scholarships through various schemes like Merit Cum Means Scholarship, Central Sector Scholarship Scheme of Top Class Education for SC, Central Sector Scholarship Scheme of Top Class Education for ST, National Scholarship for Higher Education for SC, National Scholarship for Higher Education for SC, Scholarship Schemes operated by State Governments/Public authorities, Scholarship/Assistance provided by Educational/Private Institutes. PARSEC is the technical fest of the college where we get an opportunity to demonstrate our innovative skills and ideas in front of the whole institute. The college also has many national and international collaboration with universities that provides us with good research opportunities. The college labs are not only modern but all types of tools and research material articles plus amenities are available. The college library is the house of many bestsellers authors of books from around the world.

The hostel completely has all types of modern facilities. The hostel rooms are cleaned on daily basis and the bathrooms are properly sanitized. The plus point is that the bathrooms are attached to the rooms. The hostel mess food is good and the menu keep on changing on the regular interval. The college has the facility of 24 hours of water and power supply even WiFi connectivity for internet is also provided 245x7. The hostel wardens and the staff work very well to maintain the hostel decorum.
