Remarks
The admission process was quite simple and easy. I had given the keam entrance exam and I got in the college through the government allotment. I had a rank of 20721 and the cutoff in this college is not that high so even if you have a keam rank of 35000 you can get the CSE branch.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course as I am interested in the field of cyber security and I wanted a base in computer science. The student-faculty ratio is a bit poor as there are almost 63 students in a class and not every student gets proper attention except some teachers, to survive in this college and to be a little popular among teachers we have to be academically sound. All the teachers are having the required qualification and the teaching methods include explanations with the help of ppt and videos. The internal exams were conducted once every month and the exams were not at all difficult to pass even with very little preparation.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for camps placement from the 8th semester and almost 100% of students get placed, but the percentage of placements may lower due to the no. of students enrolled in the course and the no. of employees required by the company is varying significantly. Several companies like Infosys, cognizant, mind tree, TCS, etc. visit the college for a placement drive. The highest package offered was 7 lakh per annum as per my knowledge.
Fees and Financial Aid
The tuition fee is 75000 for students who got through government allotment and also through management quota., the NRI students have to give a donation of about 3 lakhs. The uniform fee is 6000 and the booking fee is about 4000. I am not in the college hostel therefore I m not aware of the college hostel fees. I came to know that there is a scholarship for students who have a percentage of more than 95% and students can also avail scholarships through national scholarship portal.
Campus Life
The annual fest or other extracurricular activities are not given much importance as the main focus is only on academics. There are plenty of journals and other reference books available in our library and students are also provided with library period which we can make use of due to the unavailability of time otherwise. There are several professional bodies like the IEEE, ACM, etc which students can take membership and work which helps them acquire credit points.
