Remarks

The admission process was as smooth as it was done through JoSAA counseling. There were 7 rounds in total and in the last round I got CSE in IIITG. My JEE rank was around 22k and luckily the cutoff for CSE was also the same for my college.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

As this is a new IIIT, the curriculum here is updated and is better than that of many IITs and NITs. As the total strength of a batch is around 200, which is very little, it provides a good faculty-to-student ratio. The faculty here are mostly Post Graduates Or Ph.D. from IITs and NITs. Exams are conducted very regularly here. Apart from the mid-semester and end-semester examinations, we have quizzes very often. The difficulty level of these exams is moderate.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Students usually pursue internships in 3rd Year but one can apply for them anytime, given that they have the appropriate skill set. Companies like Legato, Goldman Sachs, Amazon, etc provide internship opportunities. Doing projects would make your favorite of getting an internship.

Placement Experience

5

Placements start from 7th semester (4th Year). Companies like Amazon, Legato, TCS, Synopsis, etc. visit for on campus placements. We have a very good placement ratio and average package. For CSE, the average package was 13 LPA and 92% students were placed. While for ECE, the average package was 8 LPA and 66% students were placed. I'm planning on gaining work experience for 2 years after my B.Tech and then pursue MS Or M.Tech from abroad.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is distributed over 8 semesters in total. The tuition fees for each semester is 1,12,500 which makes it 2,25,000 a year. Hostel tent is 12,500 per semester and mess charges is 4000 per month. Many states provide state scholarships that can be availed by students. For example, Madhya Pradesh.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus Life here is different from other colleges as the campus is still in the construction phase. But the environment here is sublime. The campus is surrounded by hills and beautiful villages. There are many cultural and technical clubs that actively conduct events. There is an annual festival called YUVAAN which is full of activities and events of all the clubs.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

There is one boy's hostel and one girl's hostel. There is a mess in both the hostels. The food here is good and there are very less restrictions on campus. You can roam anywhere on the campus 24*7. All rooms are double sharing. Some have attached bathrooms, but the rooms are small and some come with a common washroom for several rooms.

Other Applied Colleges

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very relevant and is different for different branches according to their needs. I was interested in civil engineering and chose the course and find the curriculum intersting and relevant for me . The curriculum offers subject which are important for real world applications, like in civil engineering it's offers subjects like building construction, solid mechanics, fluid mechanics, material testing, serving, etc. The course curriculum is very good but the teaching methods needs improvement like more digitalization . The exams frequency and timings are neither too late nor too early, they are perfectly planned and executed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There exists a good teaching staff that's why the course is very easy to understand also teachers give us good examples also do practicals so that's students understand the course easily . I see that there exist a low no of equipments in practical lab compare to it's students ratio so if they have a good no of equipments then all students get equipment to do experiment without any waste of time . Time is good as compare to marks and the first 30 marks are beginner level the other 40 marks are intermediate level and the remaining 30 Marks are advanced level questions in a question paper for the students they published.

Placement Experience:

The placement scenario is quite good, with several reputed companies like General Electric, Power Grid Corporation of India, Goldman Sachs, among others recruiting 94 percent of the students in the college. The placement takes place in three rounds, one testing one's aptitude, followed by an hour round, finally leading on to a technical round. Mock interview and job cracking sessions are organized regularly, both by the departments, and also the Training and Placement Cell, to prepare students for the interviews and examinations going forward. The Training and Placement Cell also provides internship opportunities at the end of third year for the students, based on their aptitude and abilities

Remarks:

I have mostly positive remarks about college except for the fact that the college is situated really far from mainstream north India. Train connectivity is not that strong to rest of country. But despite that the college is extremely good in the sense of learning, meeting new innovative minds, and of course placements and jobs.
