Remarks

Eligibility of the course- It would be preferable if the intermediate percentage is 90% You can find all the details on the college website or at the counter of the college campus. Suggested improvement- None.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I am a bookworm, and I was always fascinated with English literature. So I decided to turn my passion into my career. Faculty and student- The faculty of St. Ann's College for Women is encouraging and helpful. Their help is always at students' disposal. Lecturers are highly qualified and have published research papers on various subject matters. The management always prioritizes student benefits and is always open to pupil problems. The focus of the curriculum is not solely on textbook learning and the unfailing efforts of the administration open many opportunities to students for enhancement of skills. Exams- Term exams are conducted timely. The engaging teaching techniques and timely delivery of the study material make it easy for the students to study and excel in exams.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Internship opportunities- Internships are usually offered randomly, and not always by the same company. Firms like Deloitte, Pravah (NGO) have sought candidates. However, the tasks given are usually not related to the course chosen. Students have to apply on platforms like LinkedIn or Internshala to get internships based on their specific skill set.

Placement Experience

2.5

St. Ann's students got placements in companies like Amazon, Deloitte, Bombay stock exchange, etc. But the placement opportunities are fairly low. B.Com students are most likely to get job offers, while others have to carve their own way. My plans after getting the degree- Planning to become a freelance writer.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee hike policy- The fee and the fee hike policy vary for each course. However, the BA stream experiences a hike of RS.500 every semester. St. Ann's disburses many scholarship opportunities 1. Social welfare scholarships 2. National merit scholarships 3. State merit scholarships 4. Sports scholarships 5. Minority welfare department scholarships 6. Economically backward class scholarships 7. National prizes and Pratibha awards 8. Other private trusts.

Campus Life

4.5

Fresher's party- August Library - The college library has a vast variety of books ranging from study materials, competitive exam guides to storybooks and journals. You can also request the library staff to order a book which is unavailable in the college library. Classroom- The college is on a 4-acre campus with well-furnished and spacious classrooms for student convenience. The well-equipped laboratories make the student learning process fun and interactive. Moreover, the sizable auditorium and conference hall are often visited by renowned personalities. Sports and extracurricular activities- Various value enrichment courses(Chess, embroidery, baking, etc) are offered. The NCC department covers basic military training in the army. Moreover, the gym and yoga department caters to the physical needs of the students. Clubs- There are numerous student-run clubs, for ex- The Orators' Club, The Page Turners' Club, St. Ann's MUN Committee, Food Formulae youtube channel, and many more.

From the last semester which is the 6th sem, the students are allowed to go for placements. The companies that visited included Deloitte and other companies as such. that visit the college. And the highest package was around 5 lakh per annum. The placements were in full go only for courses like BCOM or BSC Computures, there were no placement opportunities for the course of B.A. There did not take any recruitment take place as such for our course. The percentage of students getting places was very low. The average package was 1 to 2 lakh per annum.
