IIT Dharwad Review

I wanted to be part of IIT Bombay but my JEE rank was between 3600 to 3800 as in between my preparation I got sick and was unable to prepare properly so my JEE rank was between 3600 to 3800 and I found that IIT Dharwad is mentored by IIT Bombay so without a doubt I decided to go for it. Within a short period of time, IIT Dharwad has made a name in the field of education. The college has signed 20 MoUs with national and international universities for its research and development program. To be part of IIT Dharwad I have to clear the JEE exam and participate in JOSAA counseling and must secure a minimum of 75% marks in 10+2.

As the college is mentored by IIT Bombay without a doubt the college the college curriculum follows the latest industrial norms and standards. Labs are available for different departments. The college provides us with good research opportunities and project activities.

After completing the 3rd year we are eligible for the internship program. The college placement committee guides us during the internship program. They provide us with the list of companies that are available for the internship and the placement cell guides us to select the companies according to our interests. The stipend for the internship ranges from Rs. 20000/- to Rs. 80000/-.

The college provides us with good placement. As the college committee is well aware that to attract a good number of students they need to invite good companies for placement. The college placement committee is very professional and really helps us and guides us throughout the college placement process. The highest package for our batch was around 25 LPA and the average package was around 10 LPA. Microsoft, DRDO, TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Adobe, Amazon, L&T, etc were the companies that visited our campus for the placement drive.

The college provides scholarship on a merit basis and scholarship to SC/ST/PWD is also available under more than 5+ scholarship program. The college also provides an educational loan facility and if you wanted to avail education loan college admission staff totally cooperates and guides you during the loan process. PARSEC is the technical fest of the college that helps us to demonstrate our innovative ideas and what we have achieved during our project activity and research work. The college campus life is very good and simple. The seniors are friendly. The college is surrounded by greenery. The college library is equipped with many academic and non-academic books. The college also organizes a few competitions like a sports competition, debate competition, quiz competition, etc. The college classrooms are big and spacious. The college labs are equipped with modern tools and machinery for research and project work.

The hostel is well maintained and rooms are big and spacious. Every room in the hostel has an attached bathroom. The wardens and the hostel staff are very cooperative. The mess food is good and healthy. The hostel provides us with 24 hours of high-speed internet connectivity. The college is equipped with all types of facilities according to our comfort. The hostel common room has LCD TV, table tennis, carrom, and indoor game facilities.

The faculty of the college are very helpful and friendly. They motivate us to take part in the extra-curricular activity as they always believe that personality development is imp[ortant for us. The faculty of the college is of Ph.D. level. The guest faculty from IIT Bombay visit our campus for guest lectures which help us to learn a lot.
