Remarks

The admission is on the merit list and mostly the last cutoff is set to 94-95% in class 12th. The application form is online on the DU website. You need to fill all the details online and wait for the cutoff list once you clear the cutoff you need to approach the college and submit your form. Timings are after 3 PM. The admission office is near the canteen and Xerox shop is available on the campus

I choose Honours in commerce because it is the best available course for me at that time. Faculty is easily available and the ratio of faculty-student is 1:100 There are both best-qualified faculty as well as temporary faculty available. Some are Ph.D. students who are acting as faculty. Some are really experienced teachers. Exams are two times a year. Semester system. No midterm exam

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 5500 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

It is a government college so the fees are very minimal which is between a range of 3000-7000/semester. The examination fees are excluded. No scholarship is provided by the college. Yes but the placement they promised in my case. HCL took students on a package of 1.8L PA

The annual function is always a fun activity in college. Every department organize their own fest every year so you will find 3-4 fest in a year Fest is mostly conducted in October-November The library is good you will find most of the course books available in Library Classroom opted digital platform. There are various sports available as well as social groups

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester students become eligible for campus placement. Placements are pretty average and mainly business development executive roles are offered (for bcom )with decent packages. Auditing roles are also offered. Good companies do come but for limited batch of students. I am not aware of the specific numbers

Course Curriculum Overview:

I personally like finance and accounting field and in bcom hons we widely study about these majors . This led me to opt for this course. All the subjects and their curriculum are great . We can really use them in our real life . Like we study income tax and e filing , financial accounting, tally prime, companies act, etc which are all required as a foundation for a business and accounting. But I feel some subjects should be kept practical only instead of writing anything about it in exams . As a du student we all must have encountered writing unnecessary pages for answers just to make our answer look more suitable. I feel teachers should on quality over quantity of answer as it can improve our learnings.

Course Curriculum Overview:

• Commerce subjects, my cuet score aligning with this college, location • only few subjects like accounting, human resource, financial management ( core subjects of my course are relevant and knowledgeable)other courses like ability enhancement, value added, skill does not add any value in my course. • Removing unnecessary mandatory subjects like hindi/english, evs which have no scope in future. • timings is 3 hours per core subject and other relevant courses are of around 2 hour or 1.5 hr depending on the subject.

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

Truly great experience

Course Curriculum Overview:

The teaching method of the teachers are the best and their no need to change but some teachers take less time and finishes important topic so they can teach more. The time table of our college is very manageable and the timings of the paper are good and the teacher takes class test on weekly basis so it help us to learn topic easy.

*I applied for many colleges but got enrolled in Zakir Hussain because of distance from my home and also i research about infrastructure of this college it has vast facilities there. * No, I didn't get any rejection, i just wanted to do less travell. * At my time, i got admission through my merit percentage. for my course 92% required for morning and 85% for evening. i was eligible for eveing only. After getting admission, procedure was smooth, i just went to college and filled the form got help from seniors of my department, they were kind and helpfull in nature.Then along with admission form had to submit all the required documents- like your identity proof, all academic marksheets, fee reciept, category certificate(if applicable),migration certificate(if applicable).you need to sign all the documents and please carry all your original documents and copy as well.Your original documents will get submitted for verification and they returned it after some time,so dont worry about it....Read More
