Remarks

To get into CVR college of engineering one should first clear the TSEAMCET exam and the rank should be less than 5000 for the OC category. For BC, SC, ST the rank should be less than 10k. But mostly they'll select the students who have their rank less than 5000, so we need to make sure to get a good score. Once you clear the exam there will be counselling where you'll have your chance to choose the college and if the rank is around 5000 you'll get into this college if seats are available at the time of your application. The benefit of the reservation is that you'll get placed even if your rank is around 10k-15k. The yearly fee will be around 6k for those who get the seat else for the donation candidates it will be 1,21,000/-.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I am into this course i.e, computer science because there are vast opportunities to get into it after graduation. And the curriculum in CVR is very good that every detail of the subject will be properly covered and you'll be guided perfectly by the concerned faculty. Every faculty is highly qualified and have good communication skills so there isn't any doubt for me totally while choosing this college. The semesters will be conducted every 6 months and there will be a midterm for every 2 months in between semesters where the syllabus is split into half for both the terms so that the entire syllabus will be covered before we write the end semester exam. The class notes will be provided by the concerned faculty, they'll make sure that they covered every topic before the exams. For an average learner, it is not that difficult to pass the exams, to be honest.

Internships Opportunities

4

Students will be able to get their internship opportunities based on their performance in the rounds of qualification. If they clear all the rounds with a good score their role would be decided according to it.

Placement Experience

4.5

Students start applying to the placements in the end of 3-1 and the students shouldn't have any backlogs .There are many top recruiting companies such as IBM, MICROSOFT, GOOGLE, AMAZON, FLIPKART etc. Internship oppurtunities are also provided by the companies with a good pay.The over all percentage should be 7.5 or more for the top companies, last year the highest package was 35lakhs and the least was 4 lakhs.95% of the students will get the placement in the college.

Fees and Financial Aid

Maximum students from all the branches will be placed. But for CSE students the placement opportunities will be a little higher because the future is AI and many are preferring computer science students. Last year the highest package was 35lakhs pa and the lowest was 4lakhs. There are many MNC's and many top companies like Amazon, Microsoft, IBM, Wipro, Infosys etc. The students also have internship opportunities where there is good pay even.

Campus Life

4.5

There will be many fests Technical as well as non Technical going through throughout the year. Each branch will conduct their fests separately each month and we have a yearly fest known as ciencia in which all branches will participate together, we also have a traditional day, annual day, freshers' etc. There is vast space for both indoor and outdoor games.CVR has the best cricket stadium when compared to any other college in the state. We also have many clubs such as literary, dance, music, art, drama etc. I am a part of the NSS unit and it does many events and serves people.

Other Applied Colleges

CBIT | COMPUTER SCIENCE

It is very far from the place where i'm staying,so i didn't opt for CBIT.

Placement Experience:

From 4th sem itself students are eligible for placements. Although students get access to paid internships from their 1st year itself, just they need some effort. But as NIAT is yet new and no batch has passed out yet so we still don't have the exact placement percentage rate. But as we are getting paid internships from 1st year itself so it's very evident that placement would also be good

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals, meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams
