Remarks

The admission process is so easy. I got admitted when there was no covid situation so I did all the process offline. One just needs to take the application form which was for rs. 100/- that time. Fill out the form and submit it. After that, the merit lists would be issued. If you come in the merit list you can submit the documents and pay the course fees you've opted for. And you're done with the admission process.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I chose Bcom as it is the course that would benefit me for my further studies. The facility to student ratio was 1:20. Teachers of Pillai's are highly qualified with years of experience. They're so pro in their subjects. Teaching methods were extraordinary, if you don't even know the basics of one thing, they'll make you understand from that level. Term exams were 6 monthly, and it was somewhat easy to pass those exams.

Internships Opportunities

5

I got selected for TCS, Kotak Mahindra and CAMS. I selected to join CAMS and the role offered in CAMS is business support officer. The stipend is very good. It is 12500 in hand per month. It was very good to be selected for CAMS through Pillai college.

Placement Experience

5

From the 5th semester, students were eligible for Campus placement. Companies like TCS, CAMS, Wipro, IKS healthcare, Kotak Mahindra bank etc. Had visited. Offers were made thrice by some of these companies. The highest package for Bcom was 4 lakh PA and an average 2.5 lakh PA package were provided. 60% of the students were getting placed in most of the companies. I had joined one of the companies I got selected for.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are somewhat affordable as per the college and the facilities provided in college. A minimal hike Is done during your course completion years. Financial assistance is provided to students belonging to backward classes. Books at minimal prices are also provided.

Campus Life

5

The largest fest which is 'Alegria' is conducted in the month of February. All types of books, even books for Competitive exams are available in the library. Sports like volleyball and football are played at university levels. Pillai college has Instagram accounts handled by students.

At TCSC placements are quite good as anyone. Even the SOBO colleges and Mithibai don't have placements as good as us. So this is why I always dreamt of studying here because since last 6-7 years, Thakur College placements have gone better and higher.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The B.com is not a very comprehensive and complex degree to complete for someone who wants to pursue his/her career in finance. It can be referred as an initial start or push start for one's finance journey over the years. Also the relevance of B.com in real world is gradually decreasing day by day.

From semester 5, you become eligible for final placement and semester 3 for internship placement. many companies like Nykaa, Myntra, Duetsche Bank, Morgan Stanley, Deloitte, Zomato, Beerbiceps and more have visited. the highest package in history is 38 lakh per annum. The average is 8-9 lakh per annum. Around 70% of students get the college placement. My plan is to start my own business after college. I am although doing internships through college. Already done one in Beerbiceps and one in chorus call.

Placements in my college are decent but not very high. students usually become eligible from the final year and few companies visit for roles like accounting assistant, sales, customer service. The average package is usually around Rs.2LPA-Rs.3LPA.

Remarks:

The good thing is that the college was not strict and was never forcing us to study rather it was seeing to it that it gave us proper advice and help us reach more towards my career goal. The bad part would be there were may staff which was very dull and was not kind, and no importance was given to correct their behaviour although it was evident by all.
