Life at Pillai college

The subjects we have in the college I personally think r really nice and I give u a very good idea of a what will happen when u join corporate and world. I am doing BMS HR so we have subjects like HR management, strategic management entrepreneurship management which I think r really good and important subjects

I don't have much idea about which companies have given internships opportunities to the college. But there r a lot of internship options in the college. A lot of start up companies offer internship offer to the students. And the college supports u to start ur own start up from the college too.

The placements r not that good to be very honest for bms everyone gets sales job options and the pay is 15k per month which is this is very less. There have been good placements but they r rare to see

I am in second year rn and I am doing BMS in HR For that my fees is 45000rs for first year the fees was 41000rs but the fees increased because the college gave us custom made formals for which the price was included in the 45k. Other courses like BBA fees is 125000rs. Bcom is 35000rs etc

There r a lot of events organized by the student council in the college the annual fest of pillai is alegria which is one of the best in Navi Mumbai. It's a 3 day event for outsiders first day is comedy night, second day is concert, and the third is DJ night it's a blast. This even takes place on Feb of every year all the event is managed by the students of the college. There is 1 event every month September has rose day august had yaariyan October has tech alegria and so on. Pillai has 3 libraries in the college on for commerce science and arts students one for architecture and engineering students and one for masters students. All type of books r avb in the library

When I had applied for colleges I had tried for pillai and sies only as they were close to where I lived and were good college options I found pillai more attractive as it gave alot of opportunities to their students for extra courses seminars internships etc. The admission process is corrupt as everywhere. I got 75% in my boards and the list closed at 78% so they asked me for donation which was 2 lakhs and I somehow pulled some strings and had to still pay 1 lakh donation to get in the college. Not worth paying donation for this college tbh. When I had taken admission there was no internace exam for bms now u have to clear CET to get bms

Our exam system is divided into 2 internal exams which is of 40 marks and is divided into 3 sections on is CA1 which is basically unit test of 20 marks then CA2 which is assignment for 15 marks and then 5 marks attendance out of 40 16 is the passing marks. Then 60 marks external which is sem exam. Paper pattern for both internal and external consists of no mcq fill in the blanks ntg all question answer which I think is not fair. Few teachers r really very good few teachers don't know what the hell they r doing in the college. Some teachers r really very sweet and will understand ur situation and all but some teachers r real pain tbh. Non teaching staffs r very very very sweet.
