IIIT Trichy Review

Many of my friends ask me why I opted for IIIT Trichy? And my answer is simple I wanted a job in Infosys and was my dream job destination and during my research, I found that Infosys was one of the industry partners of IIIT Trichy. Many would say that I can get placed from any institute in India in Infosys so why IIIT Trichy? IIIT Trichy mainly focuses on its engineering students and companies that take part in placement drive mainly focus on engineering students so it was easier for me to get my dream job in Infosys. Candidate must clear GATE exam and must secure 55% marks in graduation from the concerned stream and for SC/ST 50% marks followed by GD and PI round.

The curriculum of the college is up to the latest industrial norms and truly industrial friendly. The curriculum is designed to impart knowledge about information technology to students and convert them into future leaders. The curriculum also helps students to focus on research work.

The internship is mandatory and it is part of the curriculum of the college. the college placement committee invites many industries to take part in the internship program. Students can also opt for off-campus internships. The stipend for an internship varies from company to company and the number of days you are doing an internship basically the internship is for 2 months.

The placement record of the college is so far great for our batch the college was able to achieve 85% of the placement record. The placement committee was quite helpful and supportive I already told my interest in Infosys to them and they guided me throughout my placement and because of the placement cess support I was able to receive a placement offer from Infosys of 15 LPA. The highest placement during our batch was 19 LPA and the average package was around 8.30 LPA. companies like Amazon, Paytm, Siemens, Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services, Cognizant, Virtusa, Capgemini, etc visited our campus during the placement drive.

The events of the colleges are good and the campus life of the college is also very good. The college also celebrates Institute Day every year at the end of even semester. Sports activities and competitions are also organized on campus. Atrang the literature festival of the college where prominent personalities from different industries are invited and this event was quite a hit among the students. A program called Ek Bharath Shresht Bharat where students are exchanged between the IIITs to learn about the different cultures of India.

The hostel rooms are on sharing basis so the rooms are big and properly ventilated every student has their own study table, almirah, and a bed. The rooms are cleaned daily and the hostel is well maintained. The food of the mess is good and tasty. The menu is full of varieties and breakfast is South Indian and very tasty we always wait for breakfast. The college is equipped with all the basic facilities for students.

The faculty of the college is very awesome and they are well experienced in their field. The faculty are friendly and know how to teach students very well they are the master of their subjects. They not only help students but also guide students during the placement drive not as a teacher but as a mentor and they motivate you in such a way that you will definitely get placed in your desired company.
