Remarks

SLS, Noida is near to the National Capital which is the home of the Supreme Court. This enables more opportunities for practical learning and Delhi is also good for law firms other areas of law. The Noida campus even has better faculty then SLS, Pune and has established its name as one of the good college in the law field. The campus is also newly build recently and the new building is very modern and technically sufficient.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

I chose BA.LLB because I come from a Humanities background, but if you are from Commerce you can go for BBA.LLB. There is no difference in Law subjects except the Primary degree subjects. The teacher student ratio is also good of 1:60. All the faculty is well-qualified in their fields and the teaching method is also pretty good as they provide enough materials and library is big and the teachers are always available for answering any queries. The whole school is very punctual of classes, exams, teachers too and the rules are strict for attendance.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placements are fine. Not everyone gets a placement but those who get are provided good jobs. Most of the people choose to go for PG after this course. from 7th-8th Semester students become eligible for placements. 30'% students get placements. I am going to go for PG or CDS/JAG exam after the course.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure of SLS,N is 3 Lakh Tuition fees. scholarship exams are held every year based on your performance and exam results. Aditya Birla scholarship is also available for this course. The placement cell is not so good though, they try but are not able to get enough internships and placements for the students.

Campus Life

3.5

The campus is not very big but the infrastructure is well built. The college organizes enough events for the students and also an annual big fest called the Symfiesta which is the best part of the year around February. The library is also well-equipped with books and is big enough. The moot court team of SLSN is one of the best ones in the country and the moot court is also well-made. Sports facilities are not available on the campus but the sports committee ties up with nearby stadiums for the practice of the students. There is a gym on the campus for students. There are enough societies like dance, drama, literature, sports, MUN, debate, Moot court societies in the college.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

There is only girls hostel on the campus. the food is good and the rooms are well built. the hostel has a good infrastructure. there are also many PGs nearby the campus where many students stay. hostel has 44 rooms with 3 sharing. For PG you have to go to B-block market but they are not very good and are mostly old and shady locality. It is better to rent a room or flat with 3-4 friends in the Indrapuram locality which is just 10 min away from the college. It is a safe place and there are affordable flats available for rent there.

Admission

yes, PI WAT is the 2nd part of the admission process after the written exam (SLAT). In PI they ask you some basic GK questions and give you a situation based on law or current affairs which you have to answer. And the WAT is written ability test, in which you have to write an article on a specified topic.

Still growing institution, so the management is also likely to sometimes make mistakes. So be prepared for that. Other than that one must really appreciate what this institution has achieved in the last 7 years only. It has developed a reputation for itself in such a short time period which is truly commendable.
