Great college with decent faculty.

This college was available to me in the home state quota and hence was easy to get into when compare to other colleges of the same reputation. It is a highly respected college in the region and is ranked quite highly. On top of that I was offered the branch of interest and hence I decided to join this college

I opted for the Computer Science and Engineering course as it was an area of my interest and has a lot of scope in the upcoming years. The faculty is quite good and teach in new and innovative ways that force us to learn from sources other than that prescribed by the college. The exams (due to corona virus) are held almost every month.

Students are eligible for placement from the seventh semester and a number of companies visit the campus during that time. The average package in my stream (CSE) is 9.8 LPA and average placement percentage is a bit greater than eighty percent.

I have not yet visited the campus due to corona and hence cannot comment about the life in campus but I have joined 2 clubs - The Entrepreneurship Development Club and the Literary Circle, both of which are excellent clubs with a multitude of events and fests of their own. Some of the fests that take place in the college are E-Summit, Verve and Aarohan.

The fee structure is relatively quite good and the concessions for the EWS section is also a welcome move. There are scholarship opportunities for those of weaker financial backgrounds. I am still in second year so I don't know much about stipend jobs.

I have only seen the campus in pictures, but it is spread over 187 Acres and has all the basic amenities such as sports grounds, library, canteen, labs and wi-fi. I believe that the campus is all in all pretty good.

I have never actually ever visited the hostels, but there are quite a few hostels and all the students can get rooms inside the college due to which the day scholar-hosteler divide is not present. There is new hostel that has been built but it is yet to be allotted.

I did not face any such GD or interview round during the admission process and there was no separate written test other than JEE for admission into the college.
