IIM Nagpur- Review

I only applied to IIMs, and as soon as I was accepted to a couple, I began narrowing down which IIMs would provide me with the highest return on investment. The admissions procedure went smoothly and was broken down into three parts. Filling out the form and submitting the SOP, followed by a write-up and PI. A percentile of 90 and 75/75/75 across all sections was required for the general Candidate. From the PI Shortlist to the Final Registration, the IIM Nagpur Admissions staff provided consistent help and guidance. It will be advantageous if you have prior work experience.

The student-to-faculty ratio is around 1:20. The professors are graduates of top B-Schools with a deeper depth and breadth of knowledge and expertise in the areas, and they teach primarily through PowerPoint presentations and case study analysis. We learn about the real-world expectations of the industry and are encouraged to brainstorm on various industry-related issues through case studies. There are six-term exams in a year, with a moderate level of difficulty. Exams were held on a regular basis to assess our knowledge of the subject, with a greater difficulty level requiring more preparation and comprehension of concepts.

The majority of internships available are in marketing, general management, and sales. Companies seeking various positions, such as finance, consulting, and analytics, also attend the campus drive. In short, the campus offers a wide range of opportunities. In the years 2020-2022, the highest stipend was INR 2,25,000, with an average stipend of INR 60,000.

We have finished 100% recruitment for the final placements, which is fantastic. The package with the greatest LPA is 19.20 LPA, and the average CTC is 13.21. Deloitte, Bain & Company, L&T Infotech, Accenture, Wipro, ICICI, and others were among the key recruiters. The placement committee works tirelessly to provide the best chance to each batch while maintaining strict oversight and compliance. Keeping the student's interest first is a very dynamic and efficient.

The entire cost of the college is INR 13,75 Lakhs, which is significantly less than the other new IIMs. Scholarships and financial aid are available to students. For example, SNBS (Special Needs-Based Scholarships) are available to students with a family income of fewer than 5 lakhs rupees. Job assistance is offered by a competent placement committee, as evidenced by the fact that the 2020 batch received 100% placements.

At the moment, classes are held virtually, and clubs and committees hold regular sessions, quizzes, competitions, and mentorship sessions for students. There are 20 groups and committees within the college, each with a different focus. Throughout the year, each club/committee holds events. The annual Zero Mile Fest is generally held in February or March, but due to the Covid -19 situation, it didn't. Fitness (Finance club), Marx (Marketing club), and other academic and non-academic groups are available at IIM Nagpur.

We have a well-equipped campus that has all of the necessary amenities. Modern classrooms with air conditioning and projectors are available. Students can access a wide range of academic resources and applications in the library. The institute provides all of the necessary software and books. The meal quality is offered to be of good quality, and there is also a committee called Santript - the mess committee, which oversees the food quality. The room is claimed to be equipped with essential necessities and to have more space.

To be considered for admission, you must first pass the CAT exam. The college will then shortlist individuals based on merit and invite them to PI, after which there will be a counseling process and you will receive an offer letter. The majority of the questions focused on work experience, with topics such as Job Role, Experience, Different Situations Faced at Work, Why MBA, and Quantitative and Current Affairs relevant questions being asked.
