Good reputation and The institute has amazing facilities for sports, including a track for running and various athletic facilities, a football field, volley ball courts, basket-ball courts, squash courts, tennis courts, a cricket field, badminton courts, table tennis rooms and chess provisions to hone your skills. There are also Yoga instructors who teach Yoga to the first year students, as well as a fully functioning gym and a swimming pool. These are backed by really excellent SAS officers who are inspire and develop a sports culture in the students. The college also has an active NCC body, and the students who do not wish to take up sports can join that.

There are 7 branches for B.Tech, viz. Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Production and Industrial Engineering, each with a different number of credits. Each department has adeptly qualified faculty who teach as well as pursue research activities. Most of the departments also regularly host various technical conferences sponsored by IEEE. Besides this, the institute also offers an MBA course, an MTech course and PhD courses in various departments.

In NIT Kurukshetra placement 2020, a total of 423 students placed in the UG courses and 135 students in the PG courses. The highest CTC offered is INR 43.31 LPA grabbed by the B.Tech student. The placement rate for the year 2020 touched at 92.05%

Even after attending classes the whole day, you can sleep, do any activity you like to do, go to library or CCN, sleep late night and then wake up around 8 and still reach the class on time.
