Remarks

I have never been to Kerala and then I got seat in Thiruvananthapuram through jee stream. First I thought of joining near my home but once I saw the campus and its greenery, I decided to join. Later I got to know that we get monthly scholarship of 5k rupees but later after joining it got cancelled to jee students.

Course Curriculum Overview

My syllabus updates mostly depend on particular faculties but mostly every faculty teaches sufficient knowledge to that particular course. Once or twice a week we have lab sessions which are very helpful for future Phd aspirants. Faculties are very supportive but show a little partiality when selecting students for their labs. I feel Mr.Ravi Maruthachalam is better in my opinion.

College Events

4.5

We held ishya which is an inter college cultural fest, anvEsha which is an intracollege science fest and itsav which is an intracollege sports meet. We also have inter college sports meet between different iisers called iism.

Campus Life

Firstly sports facilities are very bad when compared to that of other categories. Wifi is mostly uninterrupted and fast, Size of the temporary library is fine but permanent library is supposed to be big hopefully. Equipments in labs are up to date and advanced.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I just choosed electronics because it was a good course comparing to others I'm just aiming for lateral entry exam to btech this course I'm learning is just a step for that door. For real world applications idk how much they are preparing us because I think most of these preparations are for exam and only exam oriented those who likes the course may get the real world experience others only pass the exam. Teacher should be more focused on exam oriented teaching and should include technology like projecting images, showing videos as ai had this growth it's easy for them to teach something to us easily they should implement it. Frequency and timing is not bad because there is one month gap between each exam.

Placement oppertunities are often given during 4th year of our course. Average package is around 3Lakhs per year. Students getting placements are often high but most of the reject the offer for higher studies inorder to get a higher package.

I chose BCom because I was interested in the commercial sector but I wish I had chosen a college that provided better placement services. Most of the faculty members strictly read off the textbook and lack experience. Exams were conducted regularly.
