Remarks

I've opted for Economics Hons in lady Shri Ram College For Women and the applicant needs to score at least an aggregate of 45% marks in the qualifying examination. For taking economics, One must have studied and passed math's in her class 12th. In an online mode, You have to register yourself at the DU official website when DU opens for registration and keep your username and password safe until DU cut-off doesn't come as these will be useful for future purposes. Then when the DU cutoff releases, match your marks with the college cutoff and select wisely. DU generally comes up with 5 general cutoffs and later special cutoffs where only those students can apply who couldn't apply in the previous lists despite being eligible. If in any cut-off list, you want to change your College so you can just cancel your current admission by paying a cancelation charge of Rs1000 and then take admission to your desired college.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I have chosen economics as coming from a commerce background, I have two choices, either to go for B.Com Hons or Economics Hons so I choose the other one but yes, I liked economics in my class 12th because I wasn't aware then that economics has too much math's in it. But you should know that Lady Shri Ram College For Women is one of the best colleges for Economics Hons. This time, the students' faculty ratio has increased. 1 or 2 teachers for each subject for 60-70 students. The faculty is well qualified and knowledgeable. Friendly, compassionate, and dedicated to their job as a teacher. They genuinely care for every student and their right to education. As far as their teaching method is concerned, they try to make the subject matter as interesting as they can and also try to make the lectures interactive. One of the best things I like about our teachers is that they not just confine themselves to the syllabus but also try to expose us to the important issues of our society.

Internships Opportunities

3

I don't have a very good experience with internships not because I got bad internships but because I hadn't applied for internships in Lsr. Big companies like McKinsey, Deloitte, and many more come with the hope of getting the best student who can add some value in their organization, who can show the magic of lsr in her work too. So, internship opportunities are immense if you are interested if you are confident to take challenges, and if you believe in Yourself and your work. So, if you are someone interested in taking challenges, do apply for internships that interest you, and campus internships do provide you some big opportunities that can change you as a person, help you in being the best version of yourself. And as far as Stipend is concerned, this varies from person to person and company to company. Paid and unpaid internships are available.

Placement Experience

4

Campus placement in Lsr is one of the major reasons why students choose lsr. The Highest package offered in 2021 is INR 37.8 LPA and the Average stood at INR 7.5 LPA and around 175 companies offered placement offers to 193 students. This number is enough to understand the brand value of lsr in the real corporate world. But not necessarily every student of lsr gets into this corporate world, same goes for higher education or some pursuing their passion for something but what is certain is that everyone will be doing something that they want to do, that they are truly passionate for. Maybe they are not sure of even after graduating but they'll figure it out soon because lsr taught us to never quit even when things may not work as what we want. It taught us to just keep moving for what gives us a sense of purpose. My plans also include doing something that matches my interests, skills, and passion. So won't be getting into this corporate world as of now.

Fees and Financial Aid

DU colleges fees are affordable. Lsr college fee ranges between Rs.10,000 - 15,000 per year. In my first year, college refunded the fees of all the students who couldn't afford that much fees also. Needy Students have also been provided with free laptops. Every year, we'll get information related to the freeships /scholarships we can apply for: Merit-based Scholarships, Need-based scholarships, and Merit-need based scholarships. I haven't had the personal experience of campus jobs but I heard a lot, from known to unknown and yes, Lsr campus placement is what every student desires. That gives them a good start to kick their career in the corporate world, that amazing opportunity from big companies with the highest package of Rs. 37 lakh per annum. What else is needed to blow a person's mind?

Campus Life

4

Lsr is not just the best college for academic purposes. It's also one of the best colleges known for its amazing campus. The green campus of lsr is the heart of the entire DU that unfortunately, we couldn't experience much. Tarang, the annual fest of Lsr is the soul of it, and Economics annual fest, Econvista is all that makes Lsr as Lsr, and now here we have the Magic of Lsr, everyone wonders what is the magic of lsr? Even we all are in the process of understanding it and what I can understand so far is that Magic of lsr can be seen in the girl's who has been/is/will be a part of lsr. Girls who become too much confident, fearless, and vocal as human being no matter how she looks, from where she is, and what language she speaks. Lsr gives a unique power to everyone, to stand for justice, to speak for right, to fight for yourself. Magic of lsr is within every lsrite. The magic of lsr is because of every lsrite. We girls together make the magic of lsr. This unity makes us special. Unity is our strength.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Too vague to understand, feels extra burden of unnecessary irrelevant topics , extra papers like SEC/VAC simply add to the burden while barely providing with any skills and values as their name suggests . Studying them and preparing for exams add extra stress and unnecessary burden on them , diverting their focus from their core papers , which are already too huge and they study materials or readings simply fail to assist . Areas for improvement would be - proper structured study materials , also proper structured practical subjects / papers for students where they can actually learn or gain knowledge/skills which will be advantageous in their future .

I specifically chose Economics and history to study because I had an interest in both. Economics is pretty self explanatory, learning about how the world economy works is interesting. History on the other hand is interesting because you get to know how civilization and society developed.

German course has high demands and in germany there are relevant chances that I can get good paying jobs,I would say that the teachers are really nice, if you study well they will help you alot and are really appreciable, I would say there are none to improve because it's kinda easy to study the subject on your own, the difficulty of exams are what it should be like, it's good it's great, to make you a better person and student, and the time duration they give is enough to solve each and every exams
