I want to work in Products based companies like Microsoft so I chose This CSE branch as it is on trend now and I like programming.the faculties are student friendly and qualified enough some are pass out from NIT's, there are more number of male faculties than female ones, there is one assignment in a month and this frequency increases sometimes, the labs are conducted every week and attendance matters alot because this college is affiliated to MAKAUT and thus they need to follow strict rules and regulations related to academics, there are 2 internal exams in each semester, the difficulty level of exam is moderate, if a person studies for 3 hrs per day can really get 90% above in semester exams, but apart from semester exams the marks also depend on the overall curriculum like a lab, attendance, behavior, projects, extracurricular activities and so on my opinion is if a person wants 8.5 + cgpa should follow all these(especially the lecture notes)

The internship opportunities are there after second year onwards. Internships provided by the college is very helpful for the students because it helps alot in enhancing the practical skills required for industry work. More than 75% students of CSE branch got internships in different companies like Infosys, Cognizant, etc I got rs 6000 after working very hard It helped me alot in enhancing my JavaScript, python. As I was involved in webpage design. Many of the students from Mechanical engineering got internships at Renault.

From the end of 7 th semester students become eligible for placements and placements are done at Main campus in salt lake. There are many Requireters like TCS, Cognizant, Bijuys, Amazon, etc Most of the students prefer to go for IT jobs, The average package is 3.5LPA and Highest package this year is 15 LPA lowest was 3 LPA in CSE department. The placements in core companies are very poor, so I will suggest students if they are willing to study here must prepare for further competitive exams like GATE, CDS, CAT, etc because the package is not satisfactory especially for core branches. Although a student can go off campus and apply off-campus to other companies based on their CGPA and skills for a better salary.

The overall fees is high for a student belonging to middle class family, There is no scholarship from the college.Student can go for other private scholarship and government scholarship schemes. Like Swami Vivekananda scholarship is most common for west Bengal domiciled students and also for educational loans are available. You also need to pay rs 36000 as placement assistance fees at the time of admission. As the highest package this year was 15 LPA. From CSE department and average package is 3.5 LPA .

The campus is fine with a good architecture. There are well built labs, library. The classrooms are non-ac but there are 6 fans in each class. The hostel is very small for both boys and girls the hostel is separate, the boys hostel is inside the college campus but the girls hostel is outside the college gate. The canteen facilities are very good. The extracurricular activities are very less and hardly there is any Fest, intercollege sports in the past few years (this might be due to the COVID-19 pandemic)

There were only 4 rooms with 1 bathroom in hostel for boys,3 person per room were allowed within.The canteen food menu varied, 4 times. meals were given to students that included puris, chapatis along with vegetables in the morning, daal + rice + other gravy vegetables in evening,tea/coffee in evening and chapatis at night along with vegetable I was a vegetarian but I didn't like the quality of food given to us, the canteen fees were rs 4000 per month with rs 5000 as registration fees. That is why changed from a hostel to PG just 500 m away from college. Where I took food from the outside mess.
