Internship opportunities at PU Chandigarh.

I had given PU 5 year law entrance test.I have prepared for the exam in about 6 months and general knowledge was the main subject. You can easily find application forms, application fees, and application dates at uglaw.puchd.ac.in. Candidates have to score a minimum 50%(45% for reserved category) in 12th class. Application fees for the entrance exam are 2175 Rs for the general category and 1088 Rs for the reserved category. The exam includes subjects like general knowledge, current affairs, legal aptitude, mental ability, etc. You have to focus mainly on gk and current affairs. The exam is for 100 marks. 50 % marks were calculated from the exam and 50 % from your 12 th marks to make the result. If you get 50 - 55 marks in the entrance exam and have more than 90% in your 12 th class , you can easily secure a seat in the university.

Panjab University offers ba and bcom llb courses for 5-year law. I have choosen bcom llb because I am from a commerce background and also I liked commerce subjects as well. Faculty members are well qualified. Each class has 60 students. Hence, teachers can easily teach the students. There is a semester system at Panjab University. One year consists of two-semester(6 months each). If you attend the classes properly you can easily get good marks in exams.

Panjab University is having its own career development cell which polishes the skills of students which somehow helps students in getting jobs. This cell guides students on how to get internships. Internships are being provided from the 1st year itself. There are many companies and NGOs which provide students with internship opportunities.

Placement is not as good as compared to other universities. It provides low package like 35000 per month . Median salary is 2.2 lakhs . Placements also depend on the CV of the students and marks he/they got in the university exams. In law particularly , lesser number of student pursue placement in Panjab University. The average package offered is 3 - 4 lac per annum . Some of the companies that frequently visit are Ernst & young , Infosys , wipro , vodaphone , Adobe etc .

The fees structure includes semester wise fees payment . I found fees being a little bit high as compared to other government universities. 1 st fees is about 60000 . Concessions are provided to reserved students and hostel is also provided according to ranks .

Life at the Panjab University campus is very good. Panjab University conducts many fests and extracurricular activities on the campus like singing, dancing, painting, and many more. It has a library which consists of a huge variety of books. You can easily find books on any subject in the library. Panjab University also has a website for the library. On this website, students can easily find books and also previous year question papers. It also has its career development cell for developing the career of students. It provides different types of internship opportunities as well. PU provides a sports platform to the students. Students can easily participate in sports activities. PU conducts 47 sports activities. Thus a proper platform for the students.
