KNU conducts technical-level courses with much efficiency. It also provides good placement opportunities for the technical-level courses. So the students are attracted to the course.
Course Curriculum Overview
The main subjects that are included in Mining Engineering, are Ventilation, Mine Planning, Drilling and Blasting, Industrial Management, etc. The purpose of this course is to build the necessary abilities and skills that are required for further learning towards becoming a competent technologist in Mining Engineering.
Placement Experience
The institute's B.Tech placement is quite good in the midst of this pandemic situation. 60% of students are placed with a salary of minimum of Rs 13,000 per month. KNU students are always doing good for catching lucrative job offers. For getting placement they have to follow at least 7.5 CGPA.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Rs 39,050 is taken as an annual fee with the application fee and other expenses. The total fee is Rs 1,55,000 for 8 semesters.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions
There are UGC-granted fellowships like Swami Vivekananda Single Girl Child Fellowship for research in Social Science, Post Matric scholarship scheme for minorities, Inspire fellowship for higher education, etc. The university itself gives a free studentship also. Oasis, SR Jindal Scholarship, etc are among the others.
Campus Life
There are different kinds of facilities on the KNU campus. NSS facility, Anti-ragging committee, ICC, etc are available on the campus. All the national events are celebrated on the campus with great enthusiasm.
Hostel Facilities
Food and communication facilities of the hostel are very good. The hostel is around 3km from the campus. It's infrastructures are quite good.
Admission
B.Tech course of this college prefers the score of 10+2 exam along with WBJEE exam for the four years duration. The selection process happens through the merit score secured by the candidates.
Faculty
The faculty of the institute makes the academy proud of them and they have a good bonding with the students.
