Detailed description of NIT kurukshetra

Infrastructure is very good . All the facilities are available in NIT. Sports facilities are really good. Gym is also well equipped. Discipline is good. Campus Life you guys gonna enjoy. Seniors are very helpful. No raging problem. The staff is very polite. If we see placement then, CS, IT placement are awesome. Almost every one get placed. But in ECE, EE, it is avg. Mechanical And civil placements are down from last 2 years specially in the civil branch, placements are getting worsen.

I chose NIT for obviously a good tag and campus life. In college you need to develop skills and colleges like IITs and NITs gives you exposure, that's why. Girls to boys ratio are getting day by day better. Teaching online is so boring, but few profs. Do really well while others just complete the course. Facilities are well qualified though. There are 2 types of exams one is mid sem exams which occur twice a semester and one end sem exam at the end of the semester. Exams are tough if you don't study.

Internship opportunities are plenty in college in civil engineering also, you might not get a placement but you will surely get placement. No such problem for internships. You just need to enhance your coding skills and you can get placement / INTERNSHIP into IT SECTOR ALSO.

In the 7th sem, you get eligible for campus placements. Many companies like Microsoft, Facebook have visited. Now Google doesn't come for campus placement. Amazon, ShopClues, Adani, BlueStacks, IBM, HCL, indxx, Incture TCS, Maruti, zydex. bajaj, Oyo, L&T, etc. Also, come for placement. NO. OF companies visited = 228. Highest package = 43.7 lac. Average CTC = 11.37. Median CTC = 9 lpa. No. Of offers in Civil, EE, ME, ECE, CS,IT,PIE were 21,64,72,98,94,86,31 and students eligible for placement were 21,60,69,88,79,68,30. In civil 20% get placed in CS and IT 88.76% and 85% get placed. In EE,ECE,Mech , Pie 48% , 66.17%,53% ,42% got placed respectively. I am planning to appear for gate and get a job in PSU.

Fee Structure is based on income category Under 1 lac income category have to hardly pay 17k per year for tuition fee and 15k for hostel fee. Approx 42k is the mess fee for the year. For 1 to 5 lac tuition fee + other charges gives around 30k per sem and other hostel and mess fee remains same. For more than 5 lac income category 65k per sem is tuition fee + other charges. Talking about scholarships then on a merit base few scholarships are given to toppers. Also, those whose income is less than 2.5 lac are given scholarships on basis of merit up to 20k.

There is a proper system of society and clubs in the NIT. Which is the best part of college. We enjoy and learn a lot in these clubs and societies. Basically, Anamika and Hlad are Hindi society and club respectively. Dance clubs and crews are LSD and SUC. MAD, Eunonia , FREAKS, technobyte , Robotics, Ahwahan, Antariks, ELAD etc. Are other clubs. Other than these, EREC and Infrastructure etc. Are societies of branches like electrical and civil.

In the hostel a good table, chair and a small bed are available. Other than this an electric switch, Fan, one LED bulb and tube light is there. One cupboard is available in every room. Balconies differ in size in every hostel. Overall hotels are good. In 1st year shared rooms are allotted to 3 students. Then 2nd year onwards you are allotted individual rooms. H7,8,9,10 are very good hostels. But H5,6 is a little older. Bathrooms and toilet are good in 7,8,9,10. Which are given to boys in BTECH. Girls hostels are more beautiful and spacious. Girls just believe me and forget stress related to the hostel. You are going to a second home.
