My NIE experience.

The Eligibility for the course was CET exam ranking cutoff which should have been within 4000. After that I had put NIE along with many other colleges in counseling. After the process I got the a seat in NIE in the course Information science. Once the college and the course us alloted you can download the application form in the results website and take that to college and pay the fees and do the other necessary procedures to complete the admission process.

I was passionate about software from the very young age so I took up this course . The teachers are very interactive and are always willing to help students in their activities and classes to learn better. The faculties are all well qualified with phd or other double degree. There were 3 internals and a final exam for every semester which comprises of 6 months. The exams were strong and good enough to learn the topics very well.

There are a lot of companies which offer associate engineer roles during internship. Some of the company names are cerner, philips, cisco, google, ibm, accenture, Deloitte, Infosys, benz. There we will be offered to learn a lot about the course that we would have studied and would get a hands on on the technologies and how to use to solve industry level problems.

From 7th semester everyone of the college with good grades and no backlogs ( average grade without backlogs also) are eligible for a lot of companies placement policies. NIE is best known for 100 percent placement in all the branch. There are companies which offer ctc from 44 lakh who come to the placement drives. The average package for software students is 7-8 lakh where for non software students it is 4-5 lakhs. I am currently working in a multinational company after completion of my degree.

The fees vary for every course and for each different category like SC ST, 2B, and general category. For SC ST the fees will be less compared to other two. There is not much significant hike in fees for every year. There are various scholarships available for students according to their ranks and percentage in studies. Some of scholarship are vidya siri, sitaram jindal, post metric scholarship. There are loans available from the state with a category called as Arivu.

There is a best annual fest that happens to refresh the students and discover and present their talents. The annual fest name is TECHNIEKS. The library will be filled with plenty amount of books for the all courses and extra curricular activity books and there is an e - library which helps to go through the journals and papers. The class rooms and labs are well equipped with good quality structures, plenty amount of benches and projector facilities. The college is also well known for its participation and home for huge number of sports and extra curricular activities. It nourishes the students to come out with the best of their abilities. There are also clubs which are for educational purposes such as IEEE, CSI-NI. There are social clubs for different intrests like singing, dancing, presentation, photography, painting etc
