Eligibility is 10+2, and admission is based on CET or JEE MAIN marks. The admission procedure is explained by DTE and it is available on the college website also. Once you get selected through cap round, admission forms will be obtained from the college admission department, the cost would be around 750rs. fee receipt will be provided by accounts department after verification of documents and after submitting the original documents with a predefined fee structure. As I got admission through SC quota, my fee was around 4000 rs per year.

in spite of being a female student, I still chose mechanical engineering. The faculty is supportive,well qualified and helpful. RGIT has the student-mentorship program, where they assign 1 professor per 10-20 students, where girls and boys can reach out to professors without any hesitation. As a student, my learning experience is amazing, professors made sure that classes go interactive and practical based. some professors might pay attention to completing the syllabus rather than focusing on students' grasping concepts. each semester has 2 unit tests of 20 marks consisting of MCQ and subjective.

I was in my second year when I did my 1 month internship in rashtriya chemical fertilizer ltd.It was a paid internship. they gave us a sneak peak of the whole industry, Explained various static and rotary equipment used there.

In sem 7, companies like tcs,capgemini,zeus learning,wipro start approaching students with their aptitude and coding exams. placements in mechanical core is difficult to achieve in RGIT,but mechanical students can get IT jobs. Each company has different criteria. the highest package is 25 lakhs and average package is 7.5 lakhs. percentage-wise 90 percent of students get placed in every year.I got offer letter from tcs even though i am from mechanical branch.

SC,ST, OBC, VJNT, etc. reserved categories can avail scholarship/freeship from the government through various schemes. for the general category, fees would be around 95k, OBC-50k, SC/ST-4K. to avail of the scholarship, every year category students need to fill the MAHADBT form in the month of December.

icarus is the technical fest and zodiac is our cultural fest. Both fests are full of entertainment and competitions.Dj night, traditional night are the nights you will never want to miss. Sports activities are part of a cultural fest, the teacher's cricket league is the most favorite amongst all students.I have also participated in throwball and badminton. the library is vast and provides a study area.there are many students committee, ASME, MESA are two major technical bodies in the mechanical department, along with it there are AERORGIT, ROBOTICS CLUB,SAE, ISHARAE, SOCH RGIT and many more.
