Remarks
I applied for the courses available in DKTE. I applied for the TFWS quota (Tuition Fees Waiver Scheme/around 5% students get selection and only those who apply ) by which my fees were waived by 85%. ( from 100700 to 15358 excluding exam fees, library and security deposit). I don't think there is an age limit. The minimum marks criteria for CET was 94%tile for tfws and around 75%tile for general. Also, quotas like EWS(Economically Weaker Sections scored based on limited selection / around 10% seats available) and OBC are available. Most students apply for EBC which is not fixed by seats it requires income under a certain value. (probably 6-8lacs is the maximum value). I applied through CET Cap rounds based on cet score. You can also apply based on JEE Main Score but it has a drawback that TFWS and EWS (merit-based quotas are available only through CET). The admission process was a bit lengthy too many counters and paperwork. But if you follow their instructions carefully you won't have to spend much time.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course CSE and AI because it was a new course and was available at very few colleges. I came to know that this was a future-proof course so I opted for this college and this course. There are around 6 subjects per semester and on average you have a total of 7 teachers for each semester. There are 68 students in our batch (AI). So ratio can be 1:10. So teachers are good. Few are excellent. But apart from them are just for sake of work. Methods are simple and some teachers are highly qualified and some are qualified enough. So basically the exam pattern is 2 sub-exams and one main exam. All occur within a span of 6 months with Gao of 2 months. Each subject is divided into 6 units and 2 units occur in each sub exam and all 6 units occur in the main exam. They are termed as: Sem Exam 1, sem exam 2, Sem end exam. Exams are moderately difficult not so hard to pass. Papers are directly controlled by the controller of examinations.
Internships Opportunities
No comments for this question as I don't have experience about this as I am yet to apply for jobs. Students do projects in 3rd or 4th year and placement too start in that period itself. Mostly Students apply for these things.
Placement Experience
There are various offers given to students at DKTE. The highest package is around 12 lacs and the average package is 4.2 lacs approximately. My plan after my degree is to go for a master's degree. Most students choose for placements.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees structure Is like thus 100700 Total -15500 college development fees -1500 library deposit -1500 security deposit The remaining is Tuition Fees which were waived for me as I am a TWFS quota student. (The above figures are not exact but are nearly the same as Students of my batch merely asked to pay.) My Scholarship was TFWS. My Tuition Fees was waived. I paid 18943 in the First Year. I paid about 15500 in the 2nd Year because deposits were taken in the first year itself. The Fees policy is that they can change fees at any time with prior notice during the course of your Degree/Diploma span (written on a document during the admissions process). I don't get a stipend as it is a B.Tech Course.
Campus Life
Annual fest didn't happen as our admission was done post the 1 wave of Covid19 pandemic. Techfest: Various online tech events have been conducted by seniors and 1 or 2 were offline may not be considered tech. Tech which were conducted online were mostly coding-related. I and my friend conducted a Coding Contest. (CODEX'21). Books are available in the library and there are two schemes for borrowers 1. Return within a week with no cost to pay. (Currently 1re./day if delayed) Borrow almost 2 Books 2. Book Bank system: Pay 10% of book's price and get the book till the end of the semester. (Borrow almost 4 books) Amenities are not that good. Considering that the benches are too old and uncomfortable. Walls are not clean and are maintained in hygiene. But new rooms and labs are built for AI and AI Data Science Batches. Labs don't have good PCs keyboards and mouses. Except that new labs have HIGH-PERFORMANCE COMPUTERS which are worth praise. There is a department of sports. Extracurricular: NSS.
