Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is really relevant to what we are supposed to know in our career. The subject teach you everything about how to improve your thinking ability and how to solve problems. There are total 3 exams in one semester. The exams are: SE1, SE2 and SEE.

Class Size: 78Course Fees: INR 111180 per year

Internships Opportunities

There are various internships offered at our college 'DKTE Society's Textile and Engineering Institute'. Companies from everywhere and from various backgrounds offer placements and internships in our college.

Placement Experience

Student become eligible for campus placement from 6th semester onwards. The campus placement of 'DKTE Society's Textile and Engineering Institute' is one of the best if not the best in Kolhapur district.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition Fee - 92000 Development fee - 13000 Student insurance - 230 University charges - 400 Library fee - 500 Internet charges - 600 Registration fee - 600 Training and workshop - 1500 The Scholarship covers my half amount of fee.

Campus Life

The campus life here at 'DKTE Society's Textile and Engineering Institute' is really good. There are clubs for everything. There is a Annual sports event that happens every year. And Annual social program also takes place every year.

Admission

I didn't really apply to any other college. The reason I stuck to 'DKTE Society's Textile and Engineering Institute' is that it had the course that I wanted, the faculty were really good and it had good placement.

Faculty

The faculty are really supportive. There are total 3 exams in one semester. Below are the names and maximum marks in each exam SE1- 25 marks SE2- 25 marks SEE- 50 Marks The difficulty of the exams depends on the subject. Some are easy while some are really difficult.

Night Life

There is gym in the college campus. The college campus has a total of 2 cafeterias/mess. The library is really good with books available for every subject. There are various places on the campus where students hang out.

SIT is best engineering college of Pune!!

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. Practical v/s theoretical balance: Labs, workshops and real world projects are a core part of the structure, especially in engineering, design, and science programs.
