Remarks

There was no addmission exam in this colleage. If anyone got this college from counselling in internet then for taking admission in college they asked for only WBJEE result and a valid proof from the district university that you accepted the college from internet counselling. There is no minimum marks to take admission in this college. The admission fees was 36000 in the year 2016.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose Computer Science and Engineering as i want to jon any IT sector and also want to learn the programming languages.In my computer science department falculty members are very much co-operative. We get proper practical training. The way of teaching is also very nice. When ever anyone face some problem or difficulty to understand any topic professors are always ready to make understand them.There are 8 semesters.In each semester there are 2 internal exams. The internal exams are conducted by teachers only. So if anyone is attending the classes regularly then it will be easy for them to pass. The semester exams are quite tough than the internal exams.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 86000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

There is the opportunity of getting a scholarship. It is based on 12th marks and the income of parents. Students can get educational loans also based on their circumstances. In college usually, they don't give any internship with a stipend.

Campus Life

College conduct annual fest and tech fest and also football competetion. In library all kinds of books are available including course subjects books and journal books. Classrooms are very much airy and specious. In college there is a college ground. Anybody can time pass there.Sports and extra curricular activities o the campus. In social media CIEM page is there.

Story of hit

Placement Experience:

The campus placement from recently past years is slightly good . Like tcs infosys cognizant ibm Capgemini like companies comes every year with good placement and capsitech gives you internship from 3 year . From 7th sem you are eligible for campus placement in 2025 the avg package is 5-7 lpa and Highest lpa is 75lpa . My plan is getting good job in good company

Placement Experience:

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months

NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

Placement Experience:

For campus placements student become eligible from the 7th semester onwards and for internships student get eligible from 5th semester onwards. Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft.The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles,finance in some cases.The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.

The main reason behind choosing the college over other colleges is it's electrical department's history. The electrical department has received many awards, certificates for the projects development. There was a time when the college had 120 students in the electrical department. Making it one of the highest in the state. First of all i got into this college after a WEBJEE score was published. I got to know about it during councilling process. And got into it. But really spoken every college is equal.
