Remarks

1. NRTI is the first and best Institute for Transport Studies.2. Though NRTI has nil permanent faculties, the visiting faculties are hired from top-notch colleges across India and the world. This doesn't necessarily mean that all profs were exceptional, but they were definitely their respective domain experts.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The reason for choosing the course is to gain knowledge about how railway infrastructural operation are done. And I am too interested in transportation sector.Though NRTI has nil permanent faculties, the visiting faculties are hired from top-notch colleges across India and the world. This doesn't necessarily mean that all profs were exceptional, but they were definitely their respective domain experts. Some of my personal favourites were Dr Usha Mohan (Transportation Systems and Data Analysis) and Dr LS Ganesh (Systems Thinking), both from IIT Madras!.

Placement Experience

5

Placements - As a matter of fact, Indian Railways will not be providing direct placements to NRTI graduates. But I'm dead sure we'll be able to get employment via indirect channels like CONCOR, DFCCIL, Logistics corporations and port trusts. The only discrepancy is that we're lurking in dark about the exact types of jobs available for us, since we're the foundation batch and have no set precedents to follow! All in all, it is a good and promising institute. All colleges have had their humble beginnings from somewhere. The mighty IITs and IIMs of today were once smaller than simple universities

Campus Life

5

Serene. Sober. Soothing. Lush Green NAIR campus is at your disposal, which tranquillizes all your inner anxieties. Here, we have on offer WiFi access, Amul Parlour, NAIR Library, Reading Room, Jungle Walk and of course, the regal Pratap Vilas Palace!.It's simply awesome! The kind of rooms we live in at the fees we pay, will shudder any other college hostel management. In just 13.5k, we've got modern facilities like WiFi, AC, Geyser, Housekeeping, Recreation Room and Laundry. Also, the life there is full of amaze, it's always bubbling! We celebrate all kinds of festivals together. We also love celebrating one another's birthdays!

Admission

Yes. I have gone through the interview round. The course, as a whole, is one of its kind in India. It's not an academic but a professional course. You'll have a lot of assignments and presentations to do, meanwhile learning hard-core transportation topics in the later years, thus turning into NRTIans, groomed in teamwork and camaraderie.

I am in my 7th semester and I was asked to apply. After beging rejected from two I was still provided the opportunity and in 4th attempt I finally made it. Likewise every student is provided ample chances and mostly in penultimate semester around 70% students are placed. Rest all get one final chance in the massive placements activity in the final semester.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am of ece branch and i believe the faculty of ece is fab. They are experienced and mojority of them have good skills of teaching. They will prepares us good for real world app as they are exprienced. Talking about the frequency and timing kind of after 2 months we have are mid semester then after 2 or 3 months we have our end semesters. Before these each these examinations we have are small quizzes of 10 marks and these are conducted 2 weeks before these big exams. Difficulty of exam depends on the subject it is. Say it is maths and physics you can assume it to be at a good level but some subjects are easy also and their exam level is kind of moderate.
