Remarks
The admission was based on an entrance exam, followed by an interview (if qualified for the entrance exam). The entrance exam included logical reasoning for 20 marks, quantitative techniques and decision making for 20 marks, general awareness of computers, ICT, and internet for 20 marks and concepts and application of economics and business for 20 marks. that makes total of 80 marks.1 marks for correct answer and -1/4 marks for the wrong answer. Time given for solving the paper was 2 hours. I qualified the exam and was called for an interview process. The students were called one by one, the interview on an average went for 15-20 minutes for each student. The questions that were asked basically included questions like " tell me about yourself" and the maximum questions were from the subjects of our Bachelors Course.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is good, it has a high scope in the field of financial technology as well as data analytics. Most of the subjects are taught by Ph.D. Scholars. if you have an interest in finance and analytics then it is a very good course to choose. since it is an evening program you can work and do this course altogether.
Internships Opportunities
the last semester of this program is fully based on internship, and provides 100 percent internship opportunity. our seniours got the opportunity to work in Indian Bank for their internship which was not paid though. However, other than that you have to arrange internships on your own.
Placement Experience
Placements take place from 3rd or 4th semester. Placement opportunities are just alright not very good, one main reason of this was pendamic too. few companies visited the campus for our seniors and the highest package was of 7lpa. however, on an average placement scenes were not as good.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fee is a little high as compared to other courses at Jamia Millia Islamia and this is because it is a self financed course. We could not get any scholarship too since most of the scholarships were not for self financed courses.
Campus Life
since my batch started in the time of pendamic i could not attend the classes or experience the social life of the campus. However, seniors do tell that the campus life of Jamia is pretty good and the faculty is very helpful.
Interview Experience
yes there was a written test for this course which included sections like- logical reasoning, quantitative analysis and decision making, computer knowledge and ITC, basic economic and business knowledge. all these sections were of 20 marks each. after qualifying the entrance test there was an interview process. those who qualified the interview too were finally selected for the course.
