Remarks

Not applied for other colleges as i got my chosen branch in this college. No qouta availed by me. No Such criteria is there for admission in this college as for now and none was then. Very smooth process, helping staffs.

Course Curriculum Overview

I have a very keen interest in coding and computers, so i decided to complete my BTech in computer science and engineering. So that i can learn more about computers. Faculty: student ratio is about 3:10. Well qualified teachers and having great knowledge, know how to teach the students so that the students can learn more efficiently. Very timely term exams were taken and the difficulty level is more than moderate and less than difficult.

Class Size: 76Course Fees: INR 96000 per year

Internships Opportunities

There are many companies that offer internships with stipends to the students, such as WEBEL infotech, Swadesh IT industry, pinnacle infotech. They put students as observers in thier projects so that students can learn how projects are dealt with in a company.

Placement Experience

From the ending of the 6th-semester students become eligible for placements but for college placements they are eligible from the starting of 7th semester. Wipro, tech Mahindra, TCS, Byzu's and so many companies visits the college and offers so many job opportunities to the students. 10 LPA highest package and average package is 5-6 LPA. 95% students got placed. To get job in the IT industry and make a good career as a software Developer.

Fees and Financial Aid

Usually, the fees is almost same as the other colleges in west bengal, but there is a hike of 1000 per year which is normal. West Bengal govt. Provides many scholarships, financial assistance, and the placement cell of the college is very good, it provides numerous job opportunities.

Campus Life

There are many fests and events are organized but the main events are E-WEEK & SIMENTEK which are organised in the month of February and April respectively. There is a central library in the college which contains numerous books for the students.

Hostel Facilities

Bed, table, almirah, light, fan are provided in hostel rooms. Very good quality meal and they are very hygienic and very tasty. Not so very rough and tough process, it is very simple to get a room in the hostel and it is very budget-friendly.

Campus life: Hype vs Truth

I heard it from seniors that before lockdown it was pretty decent but after lockdown the company visits are not that much comapred to before lockdown.Cognizent, Accenture, Mindtree, PQ360 which is a startup company of our senior alumni etc. visits.

Placement Experience:

Well as far as mh knowledge students get to placements from 6th semester itself . Well there are placement classes from 3rd semester itself . The placement track record of the college is quite good with most year about 90% gets placed with good companies comming like Deloitte, EY GDS , JP MORGAN, Oracle , offering high amount of placement offers like around 20+ lpa . Well I am not sure about my plans maybe if the palacement is good I'll take it or will be preparing for GATE (Whose courses are also provided from college .)

The life in HITK

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placement in cse, it ,ece and sometimes elec branches. The others dpt also offers a quite unique variety of placements from different companies. Nearly 60 percent of the students have been placed in this year and others are still on board for a positive response.

A Deep Dive into JGEC

Placement Experience:

From 4th year the students become eligible for on campus placements. Few companies that visited are BEL which offered 12lpa , wtw which also offered 12lpa , TCS which offered 9 lpa highest, and many more . Highest package offered this year was 54lpa by Microsoft (off campus) . On campus highest was BEL which offered 12 lpa , the average package is around 8 lpa . My plan is to prepare myself for government exams and get a job by the end of my 4th year .
