Everything is good in this college overall.
Many cultural activities happen all-around the year.

Dislikes

Exams are very strict and invigilation is very strict.

Course Curriculum Overview

The Syllabus is a bit old as compared to our skillset required for computer science engineering course. Maybe there could be improvement and new technologies added for enhancement for our course curriculum.

Class Size: 110Course Fees: INR 70000 per year

Placement Experience

Placement facility is average and less companies come every year. Currently I am in 3rd year and there is a preparation for campus placements held in our college once placements are started. Mainly students are planning to get higher studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

The Fee structure is good enough. There is not so much spendings of fees as compared to other private engineering colleges in Durgapur. Swami Vivekananda scholarship is available for students who wants to reduce their fees.

Campus Life

Overall campus life is very good. I have met very good friends here l and will never regret taking admission here. Extracurricular activities are regularly organized and there is so much more functional activities.

Admission

Admission process was good enough. I belong to other state and taking admission in this college was easy and convenient. My admission was done by counseling of WBJEE exam. Registration in the university of MAKAUT was also handled by the college conveniently.

Faculty

The Faculty members are well educated and eligible for teaching for B.Tech students. Their approach to teaching is unique for each and everyone. Some students may like one teacher than the other, based on his/her interest.

Campus life: Hype vs Truth

Placement Experience:

I heard it from seniors that before lockdown it was pretty decent but after lockdown the company visits are not that much comapred to before lockdown.Cognizent, Accenture, Mindtree, PQ360 which is a startup company of our senior alumni etc. visits.

Placement Experience:

Well as far as mh knowledge students get to placements from 6th semester itself . Well there are placement classes from 3rd semester itself . The placement track record of the college is quite good with most year about 90% gets placed with good companies comming like Deloitte, EY GDS , JP MORGAN, Oracle , offering high amount of placement offers like around 20+ lpa . Well I am not sure about my plans maybe if the palacement is good I'll take it or will be preparing for GATE (Whose courses are also provided from college .)

The life in HITK

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placement in cse, it ,ece and sometimes elec branches. The others dpt also offers a quite unique variety of placements from different companies. Nearly 60 percent of the students have been placed in this year and others are still on board for a positive response.

GOOD College at low fees.

Placement Experience:

Placement of my college are quite good with a avg package of 6 to 7 lpa and higest package of 45 lpa and this year the higest package is 75 lpa. The companies visited in my college are infosys, Capgemini,tcs,wipro, Mindtree,IBM, sometimes amazon also.The placement rate of the college is 85 to 95%.

A Deep Dive into JGEC

Placement Experience:

From 4th year the students become eligible for on campus placements. Few companies that visited are BEL which offered 12lpa , wtw which also offered 12lpa , TCS which offered 9 lpa highest, and many more . Highest package offered this year was 54lpa by Microsoft (off campus) . On campus highest was BEL which offered 12 lpa , the average package is around 8 lpa . My plan is to prepare myself for government exams and get a job by the end of my 4th year .

Course Curriculum Overview:

the cirricullum is quite relevent and comprehensive . BTECH program especially CSE includes specializations like data sciene , cybersecurity, IOT, etc . Exams are held twice in a semester . the college could include hand on learning through workshop , industry project and interships .

Placement Experience:

After 6th semester student become eligible for the campus placements. Amul(GCMF) , Mother Dairy, Vidya Dairy, Bhagirathi cooperative, Wamul, ITC are the company's visited and they provide good packages according to the students work in interview. After getting the degree I would pursue my hair studies in Mtech Food Technology from IIT or go to MBA course from IIM. My main goal is to get NDRI National Dairy Research Institute which is top institute for imparting dairy and veterinary courses for MTech Dairy Technology. 70 to 80% of the students are being placed and the packages very from 20 lakh per anum to 40 lakh per annum. After getting BTech degree most of the students preferred to go for higher studies and job. Research line is open for our course. Most girls prefer higher studies and research line and most boys prefer for job.

One of the best dairy technology colleges

Placement Experience:

Almost 100% of the students can get placements if they study well and learn well. The highest salary package offered is 10 LPA, the lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA and the average salary package offered is 5 LPA. The top recruiting companies of our college are Amul, Mother Dairy, Red Cow, Metro, ITC, Thackers, TCS etc. Students can get various types of jobs like dairy development officer, dairy technologist, farm manager etc.

The main thing I would like to say about choosing this with colleges that I applied for the same MCA program in another college where afterwards the admission was withdrawald by the college management itself and after that I have to take admission in this college.
