My College Experience

There is an entrance examination named "CET" which are conducted by the University Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology MAKAUT, WB for admission to Non AICTE Professional Courses. in different phases. In the examination, there are 50 general questions of simple general knowledge, mathematics and reasoning. After the examination, University allots a rank card for each student. Based on that rank he/she can take admission in various affiliated colleges through choice filling ( One can choose any 3 Colleges from the list of 197). After that, you have to visit University for the counselling process where University checks your rank card whether that is correct or not. If your documents are verified then based on rank it allots the respective College. For the BCA program, he/she must have mathematics in intermediate.

BCA provides the students with theoretical knowledge and practical experience that helps them to go for various job possibilities in the sphere of computer application from handling projects to complex programming. A BCA degree prepares the students to deal with anything and everything. The student teacher ratio is 1:20. The teachers are very well. They always treat you like a friend. The student teacher bond is very good. They are highly qualified (P.hd /m.tech). The term exam is always on time even all the CA exams are always on time. University provides an Id and password where he/she can see their marks/ date of examination. The difficulty level is moderate not too easy / not too hard.

Various companies provide internships to the student such as Flipkart, Tech Mahindra, Infosys according to their needs. Many of them got selected in them. There are various projects such as web development, Java developer etc.

The free structure is also based on the semester wise. One has to pay before the semester starts i.e. in June and December. In my case I have paid (6*25,000 = 1,50,000) in six semester for colleges (hostel not included). There are various scholarships based on your performance. The placement of the college is quite good. Many companies visit the campus every year and many of them got placed.

The name of the annual festival is BCET annual day. Interested students participate in different functions. There are many other fests such as (show you talent/dancing / testing your voice/opening mic) interested students can participate in anyone. There is a total of 5 libraries. The main library is on the main campus named BCET central library. At the first time, they issue 5 cards by this card one can read/take books for their home and have to return within 15 days. All classes are neat and clean/ well maintained. There is adequate furniture such as desk, table, chair. All classes have at least 2-3 windows. On the campus there is a separate playground for cricket, volleyball, basketball and different Karate training are provided to interested students. There are various groups managed by seniors one of them are NSS(National service scheme)

The hostel facility is also good. There are various types of rooms (single/double). In double, each room has two students is having a separate cupboard. In single, there is one student in each room who has a separate bathroom. Every day we got a different menu. There is a total 4 times meals in a day. One can allot the hostel at the time of admission or any time from the administrative block hostel department.
