Yash Kushwaha's Review On Galgotias University - [GU], Greater Noida

I gave JEE Mains and I scored 90 and my boards percentage was 78. So the expectations for a very good college were less. I tried to take a another drop but I gave other exams like UPSEE in which I scored 240 (got CSE in ABES) and GEEE and I was selected in GU(CSE). Reading all the reviews on various websites and some personal opinions I took admission in GU. But after coming here I realised that I took a correct decision.

The University is industry based and has tie ups with many big companies like IBM, Capgemini. Every big company like Wipro, TCS, Infosys, L&T, Microsoft come for campus placement. The university has 100% placement assistance.

The University has 100% placement assistance. The placement in B.Tech in CSE are best. The information that they provided during admission regarding average placement in CSE was that the average placement in CSE is Rs 6,00,000 per annum.

When I came to the college I waited for the Fresher's party. Since I heared that the University is very good in arranging good parties for their students and it is true that it is good in events and the celebrations in the college. Many famous personalities will come in the celebration of the University.

The fees structure is feasible for the upper class family and will be little expensive for a middle class family. For the B.Tech in CSE with no specialisation it is Rs 1,59,000 and for the specialised courses it is Rs 1,79,000 per annum. From this year the University started charging for Mc graw Hill smart book which would be Rs 2000 for a year. There will be no hidden charges.

One will get the scholarship through the GEEE exam for your first year. The scholarship is for the 1-100 rank holders in the exam according to the rank. During the program scholarship will be given to the meritorious students. The fees is little more so it also has loan facilities to submit the fees.

Gender ratio in university of male: female would be 3:1. There will be many NRI's. One of the best things about the University is that it promotes talent in every student. There will be many extracurricular activities that will be held upto the entire year that will surely entertain you.

The Time Table for the students is so arranged that they do not get board from attending the classes. There will be no hectic day. The labs are very frequent and it leaves one with a chilled out day. The University gives students a holiday on Saturdays also and Sundays are obvious. There will be quizes, and monthly exams in a semester that help us to learn the entire syllabus.

I gave the Galgotias Engineering Entrance Exam(GEEE) and got selected for the admissions in CSE. One can also get direct admission if you have more than 70% in PCM. The GEEE exam comprises of PCM questions. The paper is of 1:30 hours. No negative marking is there. Concept based and direct formula based questions will be there.

The Galgotias University is also known for its best faculty members. The faculties here are very helpful and highly well educated and well qualified too.
