Remarks
I applied for some colleges through WBJEE but did not opt for them as their infrastructure and placement report was not much better. There is no quota for admission in LNMIIT. In 2020, the minimum percentile requires was 93. The admission process was completely online due to covid. The students who scored above 93 percentile were eligible for counselling. Then, we had to fill the choices of the programmes. After a week, 1st list came out, and to accept the seat, we need to pay the 1st-semester fee. If anyone wants to opt out of the process after this, the money will be refunded. 3 lists were given and a spot round later.
Course Curriculum Overview
I had a bit interest in electronics and gadgets. So, I chose this . Ratio is about 1:40. All the faculties are PhDs from IITs,NITs or IIITs. The teachers first explain the topic and then in the lab session , we are taught to perform the same in laboratory. A term exam was conducted after every 2 months. If one has paid attention in the class and has practiced few questions, he/she can pass easily.
Internships Opportunities
Internships were offered by Lucideus, Adobe, Oyo, etc. Apart from that, the institution also gives the opportunity to work with teachers on any project under LUSIP(LNMIIT Undergraduate Summer Internship Programme).
Placement Experience
5th-semester students are eligible for internships and from 7th semester, placements start in the college. Mny comapanies like Amazon,Adobe,Oyo,Microsoft,Sophos etc visited the campus. 230 offers were made in 2021. Highest package was 58 lacks and avearge was around 11.5 lacs. Approx 95% students were placed in 2021. One can visit the placement cell website for more statistics.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is an annual fee hike of 10% every year, however, it has not been the same case this year due to covid. The total cost can be estimated to be about 18 lacs I got no scholarship as such. But there are many scholarships available as per academic performance and financial conditions
Campus Life
The annual fest is Vivacity, held in January-February The annual tech fest is Plinth, held in January Many latest books and journals are available, from course books to research papers There are 19 AC-equipped classrooms with multimedia facilities with virtual teaching aids. 2 seminar halls are also there used as auditoriums. The institution has well-equipped sports facilities for cricket, football, basketball, volleyball, table tennis,squash, lawn tennis. A sports fest called Desportivos is held every year There are many clubs in the college like photography club, media club, dance club, singing club, quizzers club, etc. and tech clubs like cybros,astronomy club and all. A social service club, Sankalp, is also there which regularly conducts social service events in the nearby village.
Hostel Facilities
There are single-seater rooms and double-seater rooms in the boys' hostel. Each room has a cooling duct provided. Everyone is given a separate table, chair, and wardrobe. Electricity is provided 24*7. Meal quality is slightly better compared to other colleges. The hostel is compulsory for all students. You need to pay the hostel fee and you will get one. You can select your roommates.
