Remarks

I applied to two of the best universities to pursue an honours degree namely, BHU and DU. Bananas Hindu University, being the third best university in India intrigued me for pursuing my graduation. The cut-offs for this renowned university rise every year and you get admission to the subjects as per your marks.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The exam pattern was just like every other university with a medium level of questions that can be solved easily if you study thoroughly. The campus life is great as it is Asia's largest residential university which makes the campus happening and hard to leave.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Companies like Samsung, Wipro, LG, Oyo, etc. provide internships to the students from IIT and MBA departments and regardless to say, they're all well paid. I am a student of English honours and I have received numerous internships for content writing through the college and for the university.

Placement Experience

4

No college offers many opportunities after a BA(Honours) course until you complete your masters. But they prepare you for your masters pretty well. Moreover, the placement opportunities in the Law, IIT, and Medical departments are beyond words.

Fees and Financial Aid

Being a central university, BHU has a fee as low as 1,500 a year along with 300-500 semester fees which are affordable for every person, regardless of their earning. I received numerous internships due to my writing skills that improved due to my college.

Campus Life

4

The campus includes an IIT. Accordingly, there are tons of fests and a special fest named Kashiyatra wherein celebrities like Divine and Saleem Merchant have arrived. The fests include people from different universities. Talking about the central library, it is huge and you get access to almost every book from every genre written years back. There are various websites available on LinkedIn and Instagram that bring you everyday information about the college through their online pages.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate course curriculum as not satisfactory because we are loaded with so many core courses in first two years of the college which were meant to provide the basics of the history and then in next two years we are given electives to choose from which I find useful. I would suggest at least to give one more semester for comprehending the basics of the history.

Any of my siblings studied from this college which gave me a clear view of the environment of this college from the start. It was also very close to my home making it easier for me to commute daily. And as I always wanted to study in an all girls college, this seemed a better option. It had good faculty and infrastructure making it different from other colleges around.
