Remarks
Since graduation I knew that I wanted to join Techno India University because of its prestigious status in my state, West Bengal. Another reason was because it was recognized by NBA and AICTE. I had to attend the CAT exam as well as its counselling for the admission. Why Techno India University stood out to me from other management colleges in West Bengal was because it had the most accreditations. Before finalizing the college, I had referred Quora to compare it with other colleges.
Course Curriculum Overview
I was always keen on getting into management and getting an MBA. Supply chain management stood out to me because of its growing scope. My college had a overall strength of about 7000 and there were around 600 faculty distributed into various departments. All the faculty had at least a masters degree and they used various modes such as lectures, group discussions, presentations, etc to teach. Exams were conducted in each semesters and were easy to pass when you prepared well.
Placement Experience
My college had set up a placement cell to make sure all students get placed into good organizations. Some of the organizations that visited during placement drive were HSBC, Cipla, Tech Mahindra, TATA Indicom, etc. Companies like TATA Indicom had offered placements with packages up to 6lpa . In my knowledge, almost all of my classmates had got placed into one or the other organizations.
Fee Structure And Facilities
My yearly expense came up to be around 2.5 Lakhs. This was including few miscellaneous expenses such as for study material, etc. I did not have to spend for hostel since I used to commute from home. Even though I didn't apply for any scholarship, my college did give out full and half scholarships to academically bright students.
Campus Life
The library had books and journals from both national and international publications. The classrooms also had many facilities like Audio-visual aids, etc. The cultural events used to feel very festive and vibrant. The annual fest was called Sahotsava and it used to be a huge event. Sports facilities like football ground, volleyball courts were available on the campus. We were also free to join clubs such as NSS, quiz and debating society, dance and music forums according to our interest.
